Beautiful fabrics for sale for 1/4-1/15 of what they would normally cost. Fabrics that would cost $4-$15 or more for sale for $1 a yard!

Rae H. Williams, co-owner of Illusions Costume Company, has a lot of excess fabric she wants to find a home for. TODAY, Saturday, September 9th from 9:30 am to 5 pm, she is having a sidewalk sale with the florist she used to share a location with. Some of the fabric is small enough for a scarf or ruffle (some longer narrow pieces); some are 1-2 yards long (for a vest or bodice say), and there are many pieces 3-9 yards long. Various textures, colors and patterns will be available all at $1 a yard (less if the piece is less than a yard or narrower than a usual piece . . . she will have a calculator).

Also, Floral Delight has wedding supplies for 75% off. Beautiful items that sell for up to $40 are now 75% off. They also have candles (not Yankee) for sale. The candles are long burning, some soy, with little to no smoke, in various scents. They do smell wonderful. The florist also vases and cute gift items for sale . . . as well as fresh flowers available, so don’t forget to go inside. Stop by and save and get some bargains! Hope to see you there.

Thank you to our customers for 26 years of business. It's been a long road, but the shop is closed. The costumes are packed away along with everything else in preparation for our move to Tucson, AZ. We will be putting the costumes up for sale once we're settled, probably on eBay at which time I will post a message on this page. I will also continue performing singing telegrams when we're in our new city.

Thank you to our customers for 26 years of business. It's been a long road, but the shop is closed. Just have to pack up the costumes that are left and we're done. After 26 years in the business, Rae is retiring as of July. ILLUSIONS WILL STILL BE OPEN AT THE CURRENT LOCATION UNTIL THAT TIME.

In the meantime, we are looking for someone to buy the business. If you have any interest in owning a costume shop, please don't hesitate to call us at 630-972-9940.

We've had a good run, and appreciate all the people who have supported us over the years, but Mike and Rae want to move to Tucson, Arizona to spend their "golden???" years. Okay, maybe tarnished brass years, and we're too old to start over in a new town.

Thank you to everyone who ever rented or bought from us, you kept us going for over a quarter of a century.

I own 19 Santa suits, and this is the 1st time I've had a picture of Santa with my furkids. 2 Paws 4 U Pet Bakery and Treats borrowed one of my suits, and Ketzia and Melita finally faced the camera for the picture after about 12 shots (fortunately a digital camera. Send someone special a person in costume (we have lots to choose from), singing 3 songs, delivering a balloon bouquet, and a card with a 2 verse poem where we try to rhyme the recipient and sender's names, all starting at $75. We also can deliver professionally made flower arrangements, candy or stuffed animals. Prices depend on mileage and what we're delivering. For the Chicagoland area only (must have nearby parking, no Loop).
