Now the Storytellers Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, TN is a must-stop for anyone interested in knowing more about the man behind the country music icon, as well as the region’s rich history. Visitors will tour the Hideaway Farm - that Johnny Cash called the center of his universe for over 30 years - and will learn so much more about the man behind the legend. Visitors will be able to tour the Farm itself, seeing things such as the Farmhouse, the famous One Piece At A Time Cadillac, Johnny’s own vineyard, the barn, and the American Garage.

In his well-known autobiography, Johnny Cash tells how there came a time in his life when he was taking amphetamines and barbiturates by the handful. “There was nothing left of me,” Cash writes. “At that moment I was as far from God as I have ever been.” But just when Johnny Cash’s separation from God seemed complete, it turned out that it wasn’t. “I’d thought I’d left Him,” Cash confesses, “but He hadn’t left me.” Man of Sorrows contains moving, original images that reflect the life of Jesus-the real Jesus who was true God and true Man. The Spirit of Music Lives Here.

Located a short drive west of Nashville on I-40, this was the place Johnny Cash used to escape from public life. Now the Storytellers Hideaway Farm and Museum in Bon Aqua, TN is a must-stop for anyone interested in knowing more about the man behind the country music icon, as well as the region’s rich history. Johnny Cash owned the farm for 33 years, and called it the center of his universe. Visitors will be able to visit the Farmhouse and see intimate family photographs and a variety of displayed artifacts from the various Cash homes, including items from the home in Hendersonville, the farm, and the home in Jamaica. We have an extensive collection of Johnny memorabilia including the famous One-Piece-At-A-Time car, created from Johnny’s own song of the same name. From the stories and displays, visitors get a glimpse into the man behind the legend. Each visit also includes a live show on the barn stage. Visitors are also welcome to savor the peaceful and 107 acre property. We recommend allowing at least two hours for the visit. Visits are self-guided and untimed.

Admission: (taxes included) Adult: $25.00 Senior (60+) & Military: $23.00 Student (11 and above): $17.00 Hickman County, Dickson County & Fairview: $17.00 Children 10 & Under (w/ legal guardian): Free
