NSS Convention Pre-Camp and 4th of July Celebration at the Lone Star Preserve
Join the Louisville Grotto at the Lone Star Preserve prior to NSS Convention. Lone Star Preserve is home of Speleofest and is located 1 hour 20 minutes south of the Convention site. Gates open at noon CST on Friday July 3rd and close Sunday at noon. We have ~127 acres of property with on-site caves, plenty of shady camping spots, a pavilion, campfires, primitive showers, and potable water.
On-site actives include cave trips into Lone Star Saltpeter Cave and Woodcutters Cave, volleyball, corn hole, and other nearby cave trips TBD. Also checkout many nearby commercial caves in Cave City, just 30 minutes south.
Saturday is the 4th of July, so it wouldn’t be complete without a cookout (additional cost) and fireworks in the evening. Please no shooting of fireworks or other explosives at will.
