Introducing the Heart of Iowa Wedding Showcase for 2019!
Have you been to Bridal Shows and sure you meet a lot of vendors but you walk away wondering what did you really take away from it? After a year of researching all the local Wedding and Bridal Shows throughout the state of Iowa, both as a “Bride” planning my 15th Anniversary Vow Renewal, and as an Officiant who was participating as a vendor, I got a firsthand glimpse of the Pros and Cons, the shows that were a hit and the shows that ultimately bombed for Bride and Vendor alike. After a full year on the circuit I decided something new needed to be attempted. I also noticed that it was rare to come across Wedding Musicians, let alone the ability to sample from multiple types all in one place.
Thus the ideas for the Heart of Iowa Wedding Showcase started brewing. They came to a full boil when I met with Taylor from the Radisson who was just as eager as I to start a successful show! So lets start with what makes us different... While we will have the Wedding Vendors available from 10:00 am for VIPs, 11:00 am for General Admission guests there will be an additional room for our guests to visit that will feature two Musician’s Showcases but also a Break Out Session: “The Importance of your Ceremony” with local wedding Minister for 25 years, Pastor Joseph of “Our Forever Promise” and myself, a wedding officiant for 18 years, Jasmin Devitt of Jade Li Weddings & Events! We will talk individually on some of the most important aspects of your ceremony, discuss the statistics and logic for pre-marital counseling, allow some time for Q & A with us, and wrap up with the mysterious new wedding product reveal from Jade Li in collaboration with TandemHart.
The Musician’s Showcase I starts at 11:00 am with a variety of Wedding Singers, Acoustic Guitar, Ukulele, Pianist and instrumentalists playing 20 minute sets with a projection slide show providing the artist’s contact information. At 1:00 pm we start our Break Out Session: “The Importance of your Ceremony” with Pastor Joseph and myself. Then resuming at 2:00 pm is the Musician’s Showcase II for the bigger, louder, sometimes more rowdy Wedding Bands. You will get to hear samples from artists available for your Ceremony and/or Reception Music! After the show ALL Ticket Purchasing Guests will receive a Heart of Iowa Wedding Showcase CD sampler in the mail within 2 weeks, for production and shipping. V.I.P. Ticket holders will also get a link to download all or some of the MP3s that were created and distributed to the Musician’s for their future promotional use. This way you can share the samples and get input from family or friends that may not have been able to attend! Think of it as a Bridal Show with educational aspects and concerts all day!
