"All that the rain promises and more."

There's something magical about mushroom foraging. It demands that you slow down, look closely, breathe in, listen, crouch. You interact with the earth in a way that so many of us never get to. And then of course, there's the free food.

There's already so many mushrooms popping up across Stoney Bottom, but we always feel safer eating them when an expert gives us the OK. Next time you visit us, we'd love to connect you to our friends who lead mushroom foraging trips around Mendocino County. They can teach you how to identify species, interact responsibly with the environment, and are a delight to spend time with.
