Excited for events for this year! Staying closer to home as my Custom Orders and Alterations business is busier than ever! I'm on the waitlist for the Oregon Renaissance Faire, but am praying I get in! In the meantime, I'm waiting patiently for many of the other events to have their applications to open up. I'll update my list as I hear back from them! But here is the plan for the year! I've already heard back from Aurora Colony Flea, so I'm a yes for them as well as the Sherlock Holmes Tea & Vendor Faire.

Facebook marketplace-you can make new friends there. :) I found a pattern for sale and made plans to pick it up today. I arrived at 10am and met the most amazing woman. Her name is Robin. We spent 2 hours talking quilts, life and other passions. She took me to her stock room in her home-yes, a stock room! She is the designer behind NOOR COUTURE. She is here in Oregon and her clothing is timeless! Classic! Conservative! She hit so many boxes for me that I had to share with all of you her website so that you can check her beautiful things out. I got to feel the materials she chose for her creations and I'm telling you-luxury, quality, and absolute stunning in person! Please check her out!

29 hours of sewing. 83 items finished last week. So thankful for the outpouring of business being brought my way. This week, I'm only tackling 15 items as they are more labor intensive. Thank you for understanding that it takes time to deconstruct an item and put it back together. I am my only Seamstress-no other sewists in my shop-just me :). If you need a rush item, I do charge a rush fee. I try to get your item to you in two weeks or less, but that doesn't always happen, so thank you for your patience as I work through first come, first serve orders. Blessings to all as I continue to work through "My Rack."

I disappointed a client today and I'm very disappointed in my own actions.

As a business owner, I try to run my business to high standards, but I do fail at times. Today was one of those days.

I promised a client a finished item, but it wasn't done and was not honest about the progress.

This is not how I want to do business!

I am sharing about this openly to share the struggles of running a business and wanting to do everything. I don't want to let anyone down. I want to take everyone's orders. I want to meet everyone's timeline.

Unfortunately, I'm only one person. Life happens- it did today with an urgent care visit for my mother in law and high emotions in regards to other circumstances. I have a shoulder that causes me pain most days and I can't always sew like I want. The list goes on. It makes it difficult sometimes to know if I can complete something in 24 hours or 1 week.

Needless to say, I'm still learning my own limitations.

I'm not making excuses for how I let this client down. What I did was wrong by them. It is not how I do business. It makes me sick that I did that to them. I'll never do it again.

I'm taking next week off from sewing to work on recovery for my shoulder, but will take calls and messages for bookings.

Thank you for trusting me with your sewing needs. I promise to treat you the way I would want to be treated.
