Musical Chairs is a unique, full service, luxury furniture and dΓ©cor rental company, specializing in transforming spaces in the events industry. We transform backstage and event spaces in the music and sporting industry at some of the most prolific venues in America.
Job Summary:
β’ 1099 contract position with weekly settlement
β’ Hours per week vary by season: Spring/Summer/Fall are the busiest and allow for 30-40+ hours per week.
β’ Shift Hours vary by artist and client requirements. Shifts could be overnight, early morning, swing shifts, or regular day shifts depending on the client and business need.
Description:
Person will pack and load, transport, then unload and unpack/set furniture for a business in the Music & Entertainment Industry. Responsibilities will also include maintenance and care of warehouse inventory, checking and maintaining supplies and reporting any requirements, updates, concerns to business owner. The right person for the job shall be capable of multi-tasking, must be discrete, and have a βcan doβ attitude.
Requirements:
β’ Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
β’ Able and Experienced in packing and driving 26β Box Truck.
β’ Valid driverβs license and a clean driving record.
β’ Ability to lift and move furniture, including couches, tables, chairs, credenzas, etc.
β’ Experience and confidence in packing furniture and trucks in efficient manner.
β’ Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and discretion regarding all confidential matters.
β’ Well organized and a competent multi-tasker.
β’ Proactive, efficient, and willing to hustle to get the work done in a timely fashion.
β’ Works well in stressful or high-pressure situations.
Duties:
β’Warehouse Operations:
o Maintain and care for furniture and dΓ©cor within Warehouse.
o Maintain supplies and report updates/needs to business owner.
o Prepare client orders and pack furniture & dΓ©cor carefully and safely.
β’ Load/Pack trucks efficiently and safely with client orders per business owner direction.
β’ Transport and deliver client orders, unload, and unpack truck.
β’ Full training will be provided.
β’ This will be a Part Time Contract position to start with possibility of turning into Full Time.
β’ Predominantly Boston-area based, with some travel to Philadelphia and New York.
