Alley & Genny commemorated their wedding at the stunning Worcester Art Museum, surrounded by friends and family. This mosaic depicting a hunt scene is a hidden gem, situated in the spectacular courtyard of the museum. This magnificent piece serves as a prime example of early 6th-century mosaic artistry. As one of the initial sights greeting visitors, its grandeur is unmistakable. Regardless of one's vantage point, the expansive view remains visible from every angle. Measuring approximately 20.5 feet by 23.3 feet, the Worcester mosaic is the largest in the country, representing one of roughly 300 mosaics attributed to the Antioch group. Notably, in the 1930s, individuals would often walk and dance upon the mosaics prior to their enclosure for preservation purposes, safeguarding this extraordinary work of art.
