Is there anything more joyful than a ceremony exit? This is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. In a very short time we are able to capture some of the most epic photos of the day from various angles and it’s totally unscripted. Leading up to it is suspenseful. You never know what the bride and groom will do. I’ve seen it all! I love seeing my couples personalities come through here. ✨

For you, it’s an opportunity to walk amongst your favorite people, take a deep breath and savor the moment. It’s finally here. You’re married. Whether you dip, twirl, kiss, or have your guests throw rose petals, this portion of the day is uniquely you and you’ll never forget it. ✨

A wedding venue that can accommodate your wedding guests for an entire wedding weekend is always a win in my opinion. Especially one with water views. A wedding is so much more than one day. Jillian + Wyatt’s engagement on Hilton Head was perfectly timed just after a few storms rolled through. ✨

The two met while they were stationed on the same ship in the navy. (Power couple 🫶⚓️) Their relationship grew and eventually Wyatt proposed at Glacier National Park. They get married this September in Bluffton, SC and I cannot wait to document their special day at ✨

The unscripted moments that make your wedding day uniquely you. ✨

Brooke and Jordan’s magical day at Hewitt Oaks was full of these moments. Moments that cannot be replicated. Moments that unfold as the day unfolds while painting the story of the day.

Change is coming! Maybe you know, maybe you’ve guessed it, but change is coming to Dear Elizabeth Photography. 10 years ago I started pursuing photography and frankly it’s seen me through some of the hardest times of my life. It’s always remained my constant, my release, my joy. Having the ability to document my own life and the lives of others is something I don’t take for granted. Wedding days are sacred and joyous. They’re meant to be spent with the people you love the most. The people are what truly draw me to photographing weddings. I love pretty things, and have a very strong appreciation for design and fashion, but wedding days are so much more. I’ve been lucky enough that my couples’ wedding days are filled with so much heart. They think about their guests and how they can make the day special for those who attend. They value their family and friends so much more than an extravagant centerpiece. Don’t get me wrong l love those, but they come secondary to the raw emotion and connections that I have the privilege of documenting.

I’ve officially been in business 8 years and I am thankful to every client, vendor, friend, and family member who has ever referred me or supported my business in any way. Especially Marc who gets to see the highest of highs and lowest of lows, because being a business owner is so damn hard. Especially as a perfectionist Virgo. The struggle is real. So thank you for following along! And I should add I love white, but would NEVER wear this within 2 ft of my children.

Brooke + Jordan started dating junior year of high school and have been together ever since. Their wedding day at was not only absolutely stunning, but full of so much heart and energy. Brooke’s bridal portraits back in February were postponed due to a rare snowstorm in South Carolina, but we made up for it with the most perfect sunny day last weekend. Live Oak trees, incredible food, espresso martinis, an adorable golden, lots of laughter and the most kind and gracious couple made for an unforgettable day. So much goes into planning and bringing a wedding to life, and there’s nothing better than witnessing it all come together. ✨

There are a few things I think about when shooting a wedding. Will my couples look back at these and remember all of the emotions they were feeling in these moments? Am I photographing the scenery in a way that sets the scene so that when they look back they remember the views, the details and the people who attended. Am I photographing these in a style that’s timeless and will always look relevant and desired. Then of course there is the editing. While I make tweaks year by year, my goal is to always edit in a way that stands the test of time.

It’s hard to believe this Charleston wedding took place 5 years ago in March. This wedding will forever be a favorite of mine.
Not just because it was beautiful, but because of the celebrations captured, the sacredness of the rituals, and the emotions documented. In my perfect world I’d photography a different multicultural wedding every weekend. Especially as I get older and wiser in this industry, I appreciate the why behind things more than ever. Going into this wedding day I had to have an understanding of the various Jewish Orthodox traditions, which ultimately helped my team capture the day.

We approach every wedding day from an athlete’s perspective, like it’s a championship game. It starts months in advance, visualizing the photos we’ll take, looking at mood boards, having a play/plan in place, but being flexible enough to adjust when things stray from the original game plan. We shoot our hearts out to bring you all that you’ve dreamed of. The only difference is we drink very little water and eat very little food that day. If you know you know. 🤣 But in all seriousness, each and every wedding is so important to us. We shoot for our client, not for our portfolio. What’s important to you is important to us. We are a team working together and we have an incredible time doing it. When things get wild figure it out and we laugh about it later. And we love LOVE every day (not just today ❤️)!

Manifesting sunshine and warm weather in your future…wherever you are. ✨

Despite being born and raised in the Northeast, the winter will never feel natural to me. However, having kids has made it much more enjoyable. Some of my all time favorite memories are playing in the snow with my family and friends. This is what I tell myself as I’m braving the outdoors these days.

Kelli-Anne’s veil was undoubtedly one of my all-time favorites to photograph. I knew it was something special long before I learned it was straight from Italy. I should also mention that this street in Charleston is one of my absolute favorites. If you visit just before sunset, you’ll be greeted with the most stunning light and a cypress-lined street giving off European vibes.

✨Tori and David’s love story began when they were kids, a bond fostered by their families’ long-standing friendship. Over the years, they fell in love. Isn’t that the dream?!! Their journey together led them to Charleston, where they’ve continued to build memories. With many of their most cherished moments rooted on Daniel Island, it was only fitting to choose it as the backdrop for their engagement photos. They started their day at one of their favorite Italian restaurants, before strolling along River Landing Drive. Their comfort and ease with each other is a testament to their lifelong connection, as if they’ve always been meant to be. Marc and I had a wide range of locations we were considering to have our wedding. Like so many of the couples I work with, we were torn between a more intimate wedding abroad and a destination US wedding. We chose the latter and got married in Connecticut. It was perfect for us. ❤️

That was my personal experience. Others may say choosing the venue was easiest, and choosing the other details was daunting. Everyone’s experience is unique just like everyone’s wedding is unique.

The beauty of photography is that no matter where your wedding is, we will capture and curate your images in a way that will elevate it to its maximum potential. I like to think we can make every wedding look like a million dollar wedding. ✨
