Artem, a war veteran who sacrificed his well-being for his country, Ukraine, lost both legs as a result of his injuries during the war. Now, with the support of dedicated friends and partners, Artem is traveling to the U.S. to participate in the Eastern United States Dancesport Championships, sharing his mission of strength and resilience.

Dance for Justice Coalition is proud to announce an extraordinary cultural event featuring two incredible Ukrainian dancers: Artem Moroz and Polina Ishchenko.
Their upcoming performances will showcase not only their unparalleled talent but also the unyielding spirit of the Ukrainian people.

Artem is an Amateur dancer and a veteran of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he has overcome unimaginable challenges, including the loss of both lower limbs during the liberation of Kherson. Despite his injuries, he continues to serve in the military, inspire others through dance, and advocate for wounded soldiers.

His Professional teacher Polina is a remarkable talent in the world of dance, Polina represents the beauty, resilience, and rich cultural heritage of Ukraine. Together, they are set to captivate audiences across the United States.

Our Story

The Eastern United States Dancesport Championships is one of the longest running competitions in the United States having run since 1968. EUSDC is one of the three original Championship events organized by the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (USISTD). In 2008, EUSDC moved from Cherry Hill, New Jersey to its current home of Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, it has become of one of the premier competitions in the country for Pro/Am, Amateur, and Professional competitors who attend the competition each year from across the country to compete for the prestigious title of Eastern United States Champions.

Who will be this year’s Eastern United States Champions? Compete for the title, and come for the fun February 19-21, 2021 at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf.
