The Almost Rained Out Sangeet in the Domincian
As the story went for Priyanka and Ushan’s, we had planned for a sangeet under the stars at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana. However, nobody anticipated how tropical it was just going to get. Nowhere in our forecast did it suggest rain. And boy did it rain. Nearly 200 people ran towards two huts where they all crammed together. And in looking at the faces of our bride and groom, we nearly cancelled the event.
Then like two crazies, we hear DJ Yogz and DJ @jus.deee blasting music as if it was supposed to rain all along, and everybody was supposed to dance in it. And that’s exactly what every single guest did.
This event was probably one of our favorite destination events that we have ever been a part of. Destination weddings have a sense of adventure, and we learned that day to embrace the adventure. Once the rain let up, we continued the sangeet program. Thanks @iqvideography for these amazing clips, including that of DJ Yogz mopping the floor while emceeing.
