In light of the news the past week we wanted to share where we have and always will stand.

At Calluna Events, we have always believed that you should be allowed to marry whomever you love – regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity. We are honored to work with the couples who choose to hire us and we celebrate diversity by welcoming multicultural, in*******al and LBGTQ weddings.

We believe in inclusivity. We believe that all people have an obligation to use our voice and our privilege to stand up against discrimination. We are anti-racist and actively attempt in our actions and words to be a strong ally, both personally and professionally. We understand allyship is a verb (not a noun) and it requires continued education, support and action with each passing moment, day, week, year. It is a lifelong journey, and we are here – committed.

We continue to listen and participate in the dialogue around race, discrimination, equality, privilege, and more. We know our Black, LGBTQ, POC, Jewish friends, colleagues, couples have been fighting this fight without the full support of their white allies for far too long. They are tired of doing this work. Now is the time for us to stand united and do the work alongside them. Our silence is complicity. Sign petitions. Have those hard conversations. Call your leaders, state and local government officials. Do the work on your own and educate yourselves.

On our blog today we are recapping Rachel + Donn’s autumn wedding in Beaver Creek : At the very start of October, Rachel and Donn were greeted by a sky so blue, it seemed like it had been painted just for their wedding. Beaver Creek, a place that had long been special to the couple after countless winters spent on its slopes, provided the perfect backdrop to say “I do”. Rachel often described her dream wedding as one filled with vibrant colors and an abundance of flowers. And when it came time to design her day, we made sure to bring that vision to life. Every space was infused with floral beauty—from the stunning ceiling installation, to the floral-dotted es**rt wall, and the framed blooms for the band backdrop—flowers were woven throughout, creating an atmosphere full of color, joy, and romance.

Vows at 11,000 feet in Vail?! Hell yeah! We love our adventurous couples who aren’t afraid of a little snow and cold! Abbie + Eric took first chair along with their photographer Nate Shepard and then hiked in ski boots to share personal vows and commit their lives to each other prior to their wedding ceremony at The 10th!

They then skied down with Nate, who captured epic photos and videos of this adventurous couple starting their wedding day in such a momentous way!

Our first event of 2025 was one for the books! Lauren’s 40th birthday party at the Caribou Club in Aspen was nothing short of spectacular with surprises at every turn! Planned in just a month this was our 5th event with them since we planned their wedding in 2017! The evening started out with champagne + caviar! Guest were then treated to a surprise performance by En Vogue at the start of dinner! The ladies of En Vogue are fabulous and it was such a treat working with them! A multi course dinner followed from Caribou Club with Happy Birthday with our gorgeous cake from D’Elissous! And at the end of dinner we had a 2nd surprise, Vanilla Ice, who came out to get the party started! This was our second time working with Vanilla Ice, as we had him for L+G’s wedding in 2017 in Denver. Rob and Chuck are incredible humans and such a pleasure to work with! Guests were gifted Hermes blankets as they departed! It was a 40th birthday celebration we’ll never forget! Happy birthday Lauren! We love you!
