Originally built in 1914, The Chapel “La Ca****la,” served as a meeting
place for many of Bountiful’s early residents. For over one hundred years
it has continued to be a place where families can gather, memories are

made, dreams come true, and magic happens. Located in the heart of Bountiful, this venue has all of the historic charm
of the past one hundred years, while at the same time offering

exceptionally updated rooms to host any style event. Our owner, managers and staff are entirely dedicated to helping every
client achieve their vision. We believe that no two events should ever be
the same, and that in creating unique spaces with a neutral backdrop we
can help each client achieve their “one of a kind” event that they have

envisioned. When you reserve your special date, you will
have the entire venue for your guests to enjoy. This reservation includes
the historic Dining Hall, the Ballroom, Bridal Suite and Grooms Suite as

well as our beautiful outdoor courtyard.

As we approach Bountiful City's Handcart Days this weekend, La Capella would like to invite you to explore some of the holiday's roots!

It's a little known fact that Handcart Days (formerly referred to as Pioneer Days) began as a fundraiser hosted by the 2nd ward of Bountiful at the 400 North Park on July 24th. This event has become a time-honored tradition throughout the valley of Salt Lake. La Capella has since been remodeled a few times over but was the original church for the 2nd ward built in 1909.

We will be opening our doors this Saturday from 10AM to 2PM to the public after the parade. If you're interested in preserving and learning about this historical Bountiful landmark, please stop by to see what the new owners have done and what we hope to continue to do, to save this beloved community space.

This past weekend, we had the joy of going outside our norm by transforming a beautiful backyard into this sweet couple’s dream wedding. We created an intimate setting for the ceremony with all the comforts of home. Using tents, twinkle lights, and lush greenery, we brought the magic of La Ca****la to this Layton backyard, making for a truly beautiful celebration.

Breakfast with Santa in Bountiful was such a big part of the holiday season. We've decided to bring it back this year at La Ca****la. The event will be held on December 14th from 9 am until 11 am. This has and always be a fundraiser for a specific organization, and we won't break that tradition now. The problem is deciding on this worthy cause, so we are asking for your help. Please email [email protected] with a letter and a referral for the charity you feel would best deserve the proceeds from this event. All entries are due by Sept 10th and will be voted on by our entire staff, with the winner announced here! The original part of the building has so much charm and history. The arches from 1909,we're hidden by storage, this room had so much character and natural light. The transition from storage to Bridal Suite is by far one of the most drastic changes made to La Ca****la at Canterbury. We are doing things a little different today. The first pictures show the Grooms closet, downstairs, at Canterbury. Then we moved on to the Bridal Suite at Canterbury, which was upstairs. We decided the space was better suited for our groomsmen. With its original hardwood floors and its view of the dining hall, it's the perfect space for groomsmen to gather. With ample.space for hanging out and staying busy, and another room for putting on the suit, there is room for everyone. The courtyard expansion and resurfacing made for such a dramatic change. Adding a door from the dining hall with a beautiful balcony with cathedral railings makes this a perfect outdoor space. The dining hall at La Ca****la was built in 1909. It originally housed the Bountiful 2nd ward. Its original hardwood floors and exposed brick behind the bar give it the warmth, while its neutral black and white pallet allows for all styles and events.
