Support this startup market if you can! Every Saturday 10-2pm. Pre-COVID, this small rural town had a market, but never was able to revive. Now The Hidden Gem Farm Stand is bringing it back with a new location at Duley Farms (8505 Croom Rd). They have and are welcoming vendors of homemade and homegrown products, including baked good, fresh produce, local flowers, food trucks, and so much more.

We will be there a few times this summer on opposite weekends of the Crofton Farmers Market so come check it out!

First experience selling our American Cormo fleeces. Wow what a ride! We sold all our raw fleeces at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival and we couldn’t be more grateful to the generous people who purchased fleeces, work the festival, organize sales, judge quality of the fleeces, and give shepards feedback to improve their fleece quality. I met so many people passionate about local wool fiber and cultivating the highest quality possible for production. This was a huge learning weekend for us, and we look forward to putting it all in practice this coming year!

Prepping wool fleeces for our first “show and sale”entry into the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival! Registered American Cormo (white) and Merino x (natural). The Cormo especially is so soft and beautiful. Thanks to Emily Chamelin for getting us in to shear. Very exciting!

We’re going live this Saturday, 6 April (9am-1pm) for our first market of the season! Come see us at the Crofton Farmers market to grab a fresh bouquet to brighten your day after the long winter and rainy weather. We’re live!!!

The website is finally up! I think our customers will enjoy seeing farm and product updates. On the website, you can order a 2024 Flower CSA subscription (limit 10 total subscriptions for the season), florists can purchase wholesale and view our weekly availability list, see our market dates for Crofton Farmers Market, and soon, purchase woodworking and other items from our farm store. Check out info about the farm, including what we’re doing to keep the soil healthy and our sheep happy. The site is up, but we’ll have many many updates coming soon.

Spring is on the way and we look forward to a great farm year. We wouldn’t be here without our enthusiastic customers, so thank you. We’ll see you soon!

So many updates on the farm! We are cleaning fence lines to get the sheep on the pasture, finishing up our wire cage (flower support) orders, and getting ready to start planting! Things are already growing. Spring is coming!

Our sweet new additions! Pure Cormo sheep. They have exceptional wool, similar to the quality of merino. Two retired ladies and two lambs! The moms came with names: Wren and Ramona. Our other lady lambs are Kiwi (brown) and Stout (black). These lambs need names! ❤️

What an adventure! Welcoming these lovely ladies to the farm tomorrow! Pure Cormo fine wool sheep, both lambs and mamas. Can’t wait to see their fleeces and spin some yarn this year. They’ll be running in our pastures in no time! ❤️

Calling all flower farmers! We’re officially taking orders for support cages. These are very popular to use in place of plastic support netting and have been hard to find in our area. So we decided to manufacture them ourselves and supply our local fellow farmers as well! We’re only making these through March (or until we run out) so we can focus on the farm come springtime.
