Today I went to the funeral home to pay my respects to my Great Uncle.. We Sat there and amongst many walked in Doc Gray he was heartbroken over James passing.. As time passed he was telling stories as he used to in school and I helped him as he was leaving. We were talking about school and how much he loved his teaching over his doctor degree. For some reason talking about James and his art and singing skills we came upon subject with Jeff Stice well as Doc was in tears talking about James prior hear cheered up for a few minutes talking about how another person he loved coming from there that he hardly gets to see was Jeff. He tells me I wanted to see James more but since I can't see him no more another one I want to see is Jeff. I go on to tell him that his Son Nick is singing now he cheered up as he cheered up he broke down again wanting Jeff to come by so I told him I would get hold of him and let him know that you are wanting to see him God Bless our County so many great teachers we had in the past.. Doc told me to keep it up what I am doing and make it just like those two did best words I have heard from my successors growing up.. Out of my whole entire 17 years of singing. So in honor of him I am going to keep going and not let nothing stand in my way. Life's too short.

Please keep my family in your prayers!!! James Loyd was my Great Uncle and he was a beloved singer to a lot of people. R.I.P. Uncle James..

James Loyd Meredith
1954 - 2017

James Loyd Meredith, age 63 of Bee Spring, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his residence. The Louisville, KY native was born on November 2, 1954 to Donald Ray Meredith, of Bee Spring, who survives, and the late Martha Jane Bullock Meredith. He was married to Sandy Early Meredith, of Bee Spring, who also survives.

James Loyd was a former paramedic for The Medical Center at Bowling Green and Edmonson County EMS. He was also a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church, and was a former singer with Music City Boys and several other southern gospel groups.

Besides his wife and father, he leaves to honor his memory— one son, Donald Edward Meredith (fiancé Jennifer Dickens) of Smiths Grove; one daughter, Jamie Lynn Flora (Jeff) of Bowling Green; one brother, Teddy Lee Meredith (Beth) of Hopedale, IL; two stepsons, Perry Hack (Brooke) of Leitchfield and Aaron Hack of Louisville; three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Ray Meredith and one grandchild, Franklin Danny Boyd.

Interment will be in Bee Spring Cemetery.

I have been going thru some things this past month that `has brought me down sorry to folks that I have said would catch up... I will catch up with you but some people not to mention no names didn't helped me out with me helping them out... I thought I could get ahead by them saying they would but me being me and being a God trusting person I let them into my home now I into my butt trying to get out of it.. So if you can bear with me and give me time as I get back on my feet with rent and everything I will get you paid like I said I would.. You know who you are and I know who you are.. It will be next month anyway cause I am still fighting to get back on feet..
