🌮 Taco Pinwheels Recipe
These tasty taco pinwheels are perfect for parties, potlucks, or as a fun snack. Packed with flavorful ingredients and rolled into bite-sized pinwheels, they're sure to be a hit with everyone!
Ingredients:
- 4 large flour tortillas, burrito-sized
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or chicken, cooled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup salsa
- ¼ cup green onions, chopped
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- Optional: jalapeños, black beans, corn, red or green bell pepper, lettuce
Instructions:
1. Spread Cream Cheese: Lay out the tortillas and spread the cream cheese evenly over each one.
2. Season and Layer: Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cream cheese. Add the cooked ground beef or chicken, shredded cheese, dollops of sour cream, and salsa evenly on top.
3. Add Fresh Ingredients: Sprinkle with green onions, cilantro, and any optional ingredients.
4. Roll and Chill: Tightly roll up the tortillas. Wrap them in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
5. Slice: Remove from the fridge, unwrap, and cut each roll into 1-inch slices.
6. Serve: Arrange on a platter and serve with additional salsa and sour cream on the side.
