Encourage selfies... 🤔 WAIT what? Lydia, are you crazy? Nope! At the Walanka Wedding this past summer their officiant started the ceremony by welcoming all the guests, then asking them to ALL get their phones out. She asked everyone to take a selfie with the people around them and send the photo to either the bride or the groom. After a slight pause, she said, “Now that we all have our phones out, let’s put them on silent and put them away for the rest of the ceremony so you can be present with the couple during this special time.”

Not only are you more likely to get a fully unplugged ceremony, you also get fun pictures of all your guests! Win Win! 💕

Yes, it is raining today but it is the start of outdoor wedding season! Everyone dreams of the perfect outdoor wedding with the sun shining, the temperature just right and a slight breeze. Sorry to burst your bubble but this is Northwest Ohio and the weather is very unpredictable. 🙃
Here are some tips to plan the perfect outdoor wedding:
1. Have plan A, B & C. And have deadlines on when to move to the next plan (don't wait till 30 minutes before your ceremony).
2. Talk to your photographer/videographer about different options for photos based on weather.
3. Talk to your tent company about A/C units or heaters.
4. Make sure your guests know that your wedding/reception is outside and they are to dress appropriately.
5. Trust in your coordinators to work with your vendors to adjust things as needed throughout the day.
