It’s cliche, but pictures do say more than 1,000 words. This photo perfectly captures their love.

They wanted to celebrate their love in a place that has captured their hearts, and hope to one day call the Black Hills home. For now, they’ll settle with a picture-perfect day in for their wedding day.

Nick + Emily

Nick and Emily grew up less than an hour apart in southeastern South Dakota. But it wasn’t until Nick was mid-pub crawl with friends and Emily was on a girls’ spring break trip that their lives overlapped at a bar in Deadwood.

Last night, we celebrated their wedding day, just a few miles north of where their story began.

I (Jimmy), have known Tyler for a good decade now. We met through Mr Steinberg at Wilson elementary school, as we often got together to play board games, as well as trench and man from mars. It was such a blessing to see him go from a young, single guy, to a great man committed to Michelle. What a blessing it was to be a part of their big day.

Shonny + Liberty

Last year, Shonny was over at a friend’s for dinner, but told him that he couldn’t stay long because he had met this girl and he wanted to go see her.

A short time later, he went back over to that friend’s house and told them, “I think I’ve found the one.”

In step with Liberty’s name and Shonny’s love of flying, they celebrated their wedding on the 4th of July at a private hangar at the Sturgis airport, complete with a post-ceremony flight in Shonny’s plane and a fireworks show.

Shonny and Liberty, you guys were an absolute joy to work with! Thank you for asking us to be a part of your day!

Nick + Destiny

Nick first moved out to the Hills to attend . During his years on campus, he fell in love with the area and knew he wanted to call the Hills home for good. He headed back East River to finish his degree, and that’s where he ended up working with Destiny’s mom at a hospital, where she made her first attempt at playing matchmaker.

In the middle of Nick working a double shift, Destiny joined her mom on an errand to the hospital, and Nick’s unfortunate exhausted first reaction was “nice to meet you” then walked away.

Realizing his mistake, he approached Destiny’s mom a short time later with an apology and asked if he could have Destiny’s number.

Fast forward to today. Nick got both of his wishes. He now gets to call Destiny his wife and they call the Black Hills home.

Nick and Destiny, thank you for asking us to be a part of your day!
