Josh + Brooklyn

Josh was nearing the end of his service time as an active duty soldier in the Army and came home to Rapid City for a holiday leave. He was invited out by a group of friends for a night on the town, a friend group he unknowingly shared with a girl named Brooklyn. They met in passing that night, but Josh was sure to catch her name.

A short time later, after overlapping again during a night out in Deadwood, they decided to take a drive through the Hills. Six hours of driving later, they decided to give it a try, despite Brooklyn living in Rapid City and Josh still living in Tennessee.

However, thanks in large part to her dad’s flight benefits as a commercial pilot, Brooklyn made monthly trips (sometimes multiple times a month) to Tennessee over the course of eight months, and that’s when Josh knew she was the one.

Josh stepped down from active duty service, moved back home to the Hills, and the rest is history.

Josh and Brooklyn, thank you so much for trusting us with your day! And Josh, thank you for your service!

We wrapped up our last booked event for the year this past weekend. Here’s how our year went:
- 38 weddings

To all the venue staff, caterers and dessert teams, photographers, videographers, decorators, shuttle drivers, security teams, and wedding planners we got to work alongside this year, it’s been an absolute pleasure! Let’s do it again sometime.

Most importantly, to our incredible couples: THANK YOU for trusting us with one of the most important days of your life! We were so honored to play a part in your day.

Meghan, looking for a fresh start, packed up and moved from her home state of Oregon to Wyoming for a teaching job.

At 5:00 a.m. one morning, Meghan noticed a cute guy at Planet Fitness. After introducing herself, she decided that she would leave a note with her phone number on his windshield.

Her leap of faith worked.

You never know where you’ll meet the love of your life.

They were waiting in line at the concession stand during the Black Hills Brawl football game. Ava, a student at , and Grady, a student, struck up playful banter about which team would win. (Ava would like you to know that BH won that year.) When they reached the front of the line, he bought her the popcorn she ordered and asked for her Snapchat.

A first date at Red Water Kitchen and a drive through Spearfish Canyon later that month sealed their destiny.

Ava and Grady, thank you for making our first wedding in Sheridan an absolute blast! Thank you for having us!

She’s from Hill City. He’s from a small Colorado mountain town. Their lives overlapped as coworkers at Sam’s Club in Grand Junction during college.

Conveniently for Tanner, the produce section he worked in was near the clothing section Michal worked in. One day at work, he convinced her to join him for their lunch break.
