Hi everyone. I’m sorry I haven’t posted for weeks. Many of you may not know that I lost my beautiful 87-year-old mother almost three weeks ago. May has been a sad and difficult month for me and my family. I’ve taken time to do the things I have to do and to reflect on my mom and how much she meant to me. She was the most influential woman in my life and I am going to miss her tremendously. Thank you for your patience. Please don’t count me out yet. I hope to be back to posting and blogging soon :). Enjoy your weekend! 💐

I am starting to think about planting spring flowers. I found these pics of containers I did at my old home in Groton a few years ago. I loved the curly willow mixed with the spring flowers. I wish I had thought of doing that at my new house :). I need to put on my thinking cap again.

I kind of had fun making these bird’s nest “ice cream cone” cupcakes for Easter. It’s not often that I make cupcakes at all and especially not this intricate so I thought I’d share. Haha!

Just a reminder that Mitchell & Company Designs and Events will be offering some Easter Pick-Me-Up Arrangements at the Bristles & Twine Pop-Up, 40 Thurlow Street, Georgetown, MA. The pop-up will be this Friday and Saturday (March 29 + 30) and opening at 10:30 am. My PMU Arrangements will be $20 each. The price includes MA sales tax. Hope you can drop by!

This happens pretty much every time I decide to make a good sized flower arrangement. If I have leftover flowers and make a smaller one, I usually like the smaller one better. Go figure! Which do you like better, the big arrangement or the small?

Tom and I have been so busy with Christmas stuff that we just realized today that a year ago yesterday (the 13th) we purchased our “new” home in Boxford. The year flew by and we still have lots of updates to do but we’ve loved being closer to the kids and grandkids. Hope you are enjoying the season 🎄.

It has been the perfect day for filling up containers. The temp was perfect. No frozen hands or frozen soil. Now I’m off to buying a couple strings of lights to make these containers bright. ̇day

With some Pinterest inspiration and my artist daughter telling me that blue is the complimentary color to the very difficult and unusual color of my house (swipe to see the siding of the house), I came up with this non-traditional wreath for the side front door. I still have one more to make for the main door but it is too cold 🥶 outside today. That will have to wait until tomorrow.

Drying oranges are all the rage this year for holiday decorating. Humbly I tell you I was ahead of the curve on this one and happen to have posted about it a few years ago.
