For S and T's elegant wedding with vintage and woodland touches, romantic and subtle lighting was everything: from our pillar candles to tapers, to votives and fairy lights.

The woodland theme was brought with greenery on our ceremony drape, natural mixed mosses on every table, rattan chargers and handmade wood napkin rings.

Vintage elements were the green and brown goblets on the sweetheart and head tables and our vintage-style lanterns and candelabras.

Also shown are our table numbers, linens, napkins, chiffon runners and flatware. And of course, our cute complimentary throw pillows love making an appearance!

What a pretty way to start the 2024 season! Congrats to S and T!

Our first wedding of the year this past Saturday held at Castle Farms, was so creative and definitely spoke to the b and g: as a "whimsical fantasy with vintage touches" in lavender, ivory and pops of greens and browns to bring in a woodland feel.

Congratulations S and T! We enjoyed creating this for the two of you and your guests!

"Merry Grinchmas" was the theme for this year's annual company party for

It was definitely my favorite so far! Silver and gold chargers, silver and gold flatware, mixed goblet colors, lime green and red linens, and of course, our xmas tree and faux gifts that always match their theme!

This was so much fun! We look forward to this event every year.

2023 weddings are concluded for the year, as I am now off for the winter to tend to a knee long overdue for TLC. And surgical intervention 😐
2023 was definitely a banner year for us here at Heart. We had some of the most beautiful weddings we've ever done, along with the most wonderful couples we've ever worked with.
"Garden-party" style was our most popular requested design/style, with whimsical styles our second most popular. Of course, elegant, timeless, and boho weddings were also seen. I don't see any of these going away anytime soon.
Neutral colors such as taupe, ivory, sand, and beige/tan with gold metallic accents were the most requested color combos. Pastel shades, especially lavender/lilac, light sage green, peach, and light blue, were second-most requested.
I've created a small sampling of some of 2023's weddings.
Big thanks go out first to my couples for trusting us to make your dream wedding day come alive with our design, styling, and décor rentals.
Thanks also to my team, the great venues in northern Michigan, the hard-working vendor teams, and last but not least, my incredible husband Thomas for always supporting me.

I am here at #BayHarbor setting up for C and J's #microwedding starring tons of greenery! The palette was sage green, white and silver. So elegant! . And with a great team (tagged), I know this day will be special. And as sweet as the couple!

Who We Are

I realized I had a "knack" for decor and design at an early age. When I was 10 and our family moved to a new house where I had a gigantic new bedroom (all to myself!), I proceeded to tear up the carpet to reveal hardwood floors. Next up was wallpapering the walls myself and then painting the ceiling. And of course, all of the colors had to "tie together". The bed was removed from the frame and placed on the floor so the bedding "puddled" nicely.

Through the years, I’ve always been the first person friends and family reach out to for design advice or inspiration. My parents' second home was a "blank slate" for me; taking a simple Cape Cod to a new level. No more cast iron tub and gold fixtures, oh no! The bathroom was completely gutted, using my design plans.

This love of interior design has continued to inspire me through the purchase of two homes, which I have almost completely redesigned and renovated. I am still trying to make time to repaint all of the bedrooms and bathrooms in the newest home...
