The Role:
To develop, implement and evaluate funding strategies to bring support and resources to benefit the mission of TKD Sports and Health Foundation. You will work closely with the board and leadership team to identify, initiate, cultivate, and retain external relationships with individual donors, corporate entities, local foundations, civic organizations, faith communities, and not‐for‐profit representatives.
Position Description:
The Director of Charitable Giving is a full‐time exempt position in the Development Department which reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The Director of Charitable Giving is responsible for assisting with the planning and managing the annual department goals and budget, which includes achieving the annual fundraising goals.
Responsibilities include ( but not limited to):
1. Working with Board, Development Committee and staff to develop and annual plan to achieve annual fundraising goals.
2. Comprehensive plan may include Family Home Sponsorships, special events, Board campaign, direct mail, peer to peer fundraising, third party events, public and private grants and planned gifts.
3. Work with staff and volunteers to plan and assure the ex*****on of fundraising activities.
4. Build and Manage portfolio of 50‐100 donors.
5. Assure stewardship of donors.
6. Expand donor base.
7. Assure online giving opportunities.
8. Manage database to assure that needed constituent information is captured and entered accurately.
9. Be fluent in database software and able to pull reports and lists for emails, invitations, etc.
10. Develop a planned giving program with team to increase and build this resource.
11. Assure proper recognition for donors at the various levels. Includes recognition on website, social media, print, signage and dedications.
12. Execute direct mail and online campaigns.
13. Execute grant writing including research, prospect cultivation and submission of high‐quality proposals.
14. Lead and manage outreach to donors and prospects (for self, CEO, Board and other staff and volunteers). Facilitate moves management to increase donors’ investment.
15. Work with volunteer committees to increase engagement through special events and other campaigns.

3. Ability to supervise multiple staff and multitask.
4. Ability to lead and present persuasive cases.
5. Ability to write and speak in clear, concise and compelling manner.
6. Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Ability to learn CRM program.
