Ok 2025, you are starting off really intense right out of the gate. So here is a 20 second video distraction with fun flowers and fun music. I certainly need all the little moments that make me smile throughout the day. They add up and hopefully they all add up and help to balance everything else.
2025 is going to be a total vibe. Let’s bring it on! Color, texture, growth and positive energy to light the way. We will be enhancing vibrancy and freshness in each of our designs. Turning attention to truly enjoying our time in the garden. And most of all being thankful for this life and all things growing. Let’s all make the new year a special one.
Another fantastic installation at the Sky Shed. I can’t tell how stunning the view is, you really have to see it for yourself. This 18 feet round dried flower holiday wreath went up yesterday for our friends @armoryhotel . This 9th floor window looks out onto the majestic Bridge Mountain range. Snap a pic with your bestie, your boo or fabulous you and tag us!!! .#driedflowers #holidaywreath
With so many herbs this summer, I left plenty to flower and go to seed. The bees and pollinators love the blooming herbs late in the season. These mixed herb bundles are a great way to use and preserve your garden fragrance. After they are fully dried, these are great to toss into your winter camp fire or fire place. They make lovely little gifts for the holidays too. .#driedherbs #smudge #growherbs
I asked in a story post what autumn vibes do you gravitate towards, dark & moody or neutrals. I should have added golden rust colors too. Honestly, for me it really depends on my daily mood, because I adore all the hues of fall so deeply. I will be sharing more dried arrangements as I make them (and remember to take pics and video). This one is a study in soft neutral.
Extraordinary harvests this summer. The hail storms really clobbered us, stunting a lot of growth. But many plants rebounded and it was a pleasure to picked all the delicious fruits and veggies every day. Incredibly thankful for this kind of growth, from seed to my hands in the soil. I think I need more baskets for next year. Recommend any?#gardensofinstagram #growyourownfood #harvestseason
Happy Fall. The new season signals the start of changing lights, cooler weather and getting excited about decorating our homes for the end of the year. Autumn decor is some of my all time favorite, with leafy branches, lots of foraged grasses, and homegrown gourds, squash and pumpkins. Let me know in the comments how you will be decorating your home this fall.
Last party for the summer and I get to use many of my favorites in the arrangements. White zinnias are total must charming with a simple elegance. The raspberries on the vine are just beyond and these dahlias are the perfect accents to make it all come together. Hope you enjoy this last weekend of the season. Autumn begins on Sunday.#floraldesign #floraldesigner #summercenterpiece

Summer coop project and move in day for the chickens. We realized that our previous coop wasn’t positioned as well as it could be, especially in the cold months. Now, with added exposure to morning light and lots more room inside, our girls should hopefully be happier and healthier this winter. We still have a few final touches to finish, but at least they have moved in and get to acclimate to their new digs before we transition into autumn.
Melon harvest time. I seriously dream about it throughout the long winter, enjoy starting them from seed in the spring, planting them in the greenhouse by early April, nourishing their growth all summer long. All for this moment, to include their sweet drippy juiciness ! This heirloom cantaloupe is one of our favorites.
