I love going out with a bang. It’s fitting that my last wedding was with the most amazing family, group of vendors and friends there to support the process. I am hanging up my hat. It’s been an amazing run.
Sixteen years. 300+ weddings that I have had the opportunity to work with. Vendors that have become friends and friends that are now family. Countless Time of Your Life babies that have come from these clients that we had the pleasure of working with. So many memories, highs, lows, tears, blisters, laughs, black dresses, bench warming, learning and growth.
This industry is amazing. There are so many talented, funny, challenging and caring people involved. My advice to this next amazing group of wedding professionals is to glean all that you can from others. They have put in the hours, years, tears, blood and sweat. They have blazed the trail and put Montana on the map as a highly coveted destination wedding location. Respect them. You will get there I promise. You have to put in the time to reap the rewards. Know your worth. Be humble. Be supportive. Be awesome.
To all the wedding vendors; coordinators (cat herders), photographers, caterers, flower wizards, video makers, DJ’s, bands, bartenders, bakers, rentals, décor, hair and makeup magicians, printers, drivers, alterations specialists, dress shop owners, jewelers, venue owners and all the other bad assers that are involved in this industry you all ROCK. I will miss you more than anything. I know that our paths will still cross. I will still stalk you on the book of face and that Insta thing and marvel at the work that you do and cheer you on loudly from the sidelines, but I want my brain back. I want a summer. And above all I want to be the best mother of the groom on the planet when that day comes. I know that if I don’t step away I will be miserable…to my new daughter in law….wherever she might be.
To all my past clients. Thank you for working with us. Thank you for trusting the tom-boy of the wedding industry to manage your most special day. I am humbled by each of you. I am so grateful to each and everyone of you. Y’all are all apart of the family now….sorry not sorry.
To my family…thank you. Thank you for being okay with 16yrs of “wedding season” rather than summer. For all the last minute pick ups, late night break downs, and snappy mom moments with little sleep.
To my amazing staff over the years. You have all become my kids….again sorry not sorry. I will momma bear anyone that gets in your way and I am SO proud of each of you. Madison, Andree, Keenan, Bailey, Rudy, Keaton, Kori, Alex, Nate; you are all such amazing humans. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to work with each of you.
Peace out yall. It’s been one heck of a wild ride.
