Loading Hygge.
Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word that describes a feeling of coziness and contentment that comes from enjoying life’s simple pleasures. It’s pronounced “hoo-gah”.
Hygge is a central part of Danish culture and lifestyle, and some say it’s why Danes are among the world’s happiest people. Here are some examples of hygge activities:

December.
A moment for slower moments, warm drinks, fire in the fireplace, twinkle lights and all things cozy.
It’s a time for a little more hibernating, time with loved ones & celebrating that we’ve made it here.
This year was one of our biggest and most challenging to date. And while we continue to take time to reflect on what went well, what we can do better and dream for the future…. We’re so grateful for these moments of down time.
We’ve got lots of back of the house things happening in the next couple of months— and while during this time we often have a hard time slowing the pace … we know that we need it to be able to produce at a high level in our next ‘season’.
It’s always a balance — and when the pendulum swings — we hold on… and recalibrate.
So we’ll be here — doing just that. Building, calibrating, resting & dreaming 💭

It’s pretty much winter here— but with Thanksgiving this week— fall is on its last breath.
And while, we’re trending smaller in bridal bouquets these days— I’ll never get over this one.
So here we are.
Featured by Magnolia Rouge as a top bouquet many many moons ago.
But the vibe— palette, textures and floral still slap for a seasonal situation.
I’ve got all the winter table things cued — but for now— and since we haven’t done a fall shoot for new content — you get the oldie but goodie.
And sometimes, that just good enough.

This magic deserves its very one space.
There is something about sitting around a beautiful table, with incredible flowers, good food, your favorite company… and all of the candlelight.
When I walk away from a table set up— I often think — wow I’d love to eat at that table…. And this, our last wedding of the year— gave me all of those feelings. And to see it lit and ready for the show… is giving me a full heart.
The magic. The love. The enchantment.
Makes me ready for hosting season.

A dream day in Paradise.
We’ve admired from a far for years so to get to create with their exceptional team was a dream come true.
Enter a beautiful color palette and a stunning property … in our world, it’s the tops.
Then add a touch of Alabama to the world (where Sue went to college) and it feels like full circle.

This day. This sweet couple. This bouquet. These moment to forever.
GROWING UP….
My mom had the most beautiful Lily of the Valley in our yard. I remember being a kid, seeing this “field” of Lily of the Valley and dreaming of little fairies living among the little bells and chartreuse leaves.
I remember she would cut them and put them at the sink in the kitchen. I remember the smell as I would wash my hands.
My childhood home is filled with a new family, new dreams… and I don’t know if that field of lily of the valley are still there or not…. But what I do know is that those memories are a part of me.
This little bloom… forever a part of me.
Forever a classic.
Forever grateful for this life.

Processing hydrangea 🤍 . Hydrangea is a water loving flower and can be finicky as a cut flower so it takes a little extra care during processing. . This video will give you a couple extra steps to get & keep your hydrangea hydrated making them show ready!

For the designers looking for some tips & tricks: A couple edits to elevate your bouquets & arrangements. . Editing is key to creating intentional designs. . Here we discuss editing lisianthus & campanula for bouquets.

POV: the bride requests “artistic, modern + funky” . Our proposal description reads “creating elegantly funky florals that create an entire experience. the florals will be architectural in a palette that is bright, yet muted.” . Enter— this weekends fever dream. . It was the most fun, challenging and incredible dream to see this become a reality. . This is just a little BTS— we are so excited so share more!
