As you probably already know, art (in all forms) is my passion. These art themed es**rt card/favors has been living rent free in my head for quite some time now. Today, I had the incredibly fun opportunity to turn that vision into reality and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to see the full tablescape come together, with these cuties as the finishing touch!

P.S. Yes- As long as you are already a Floral or Planning client, you can add custom seating charts, es**rt cards, favors, invites, menus, etc etc etc to your order...as long as you allow me relative creative freedom (you still choose colors, theme, and budget). This will always yield the best result for you because it means more fun for me 🥰

For an upcoming event, the theme is Tuscan Countryside. To give the floral design a unique twist, I envisioned something I hadn't seen before- Flowers delicately growing out of ornate terracotta tiles.

The "tiles" were made using wood pieces and terracotta chalk paint, which I drilled assorted size holes into. I used a mix of preserved florals and our wood flowers for the right mix of "overgrown countryside" and "tailored floristry" vibes. I can't wait to see these pieces as part of a finished tablescape 😍

I just got a new phone, which means I get to sort through old photos...so expect to be spammed by some oldies!

Did you know that Shy Chic was originally opened over a decade ago, starring my handmade jewelry? People always ask how I started as a wood florist and the answer really lies in the fact that I've been a creative for as long as I have memories. My aunt Deb and uncle Wes played a huge part in that side of me, thanks to the fun soap/bead/candle/etc kits I would always receive for holidays and birthdays. That turned into the insatiable desire to create beauty in any way I could figure out. I hope you all enjoy the beauty I still get to create every day 🥰

What's new in the studio this week?

We are getting started on Brittany's tropical wedding and I learned that we can paint preserved hydrangeas the same way we paint our wood flowers! Even after 1500+ weddings, I love that I'm still able to learn new things, thanks to each of our trusting clients 💓
