For the last few years, several of us have been discussing having a family reunion (Gordon, Karen). Soooo after much discussion, we came up with a date of June 30-July 3, 2023.
We hope these days work with many of you. Many of us have jobs and will need to schedule vacation days. I know we are spread out from coast to coast and travel arrangements will need to be made.
The plan is to have it at my home. Karen (Unger) Nunn and I will arrange and along with Mom (Joanne Unger), prepare the food and do a lot of cooking. At our farm, we have room for campers (electrical for some) and Mom and I are arranging a block of rooms in Conrad at a motel. Conrad is about 30 miles from my home and is the nearest town with accommodations. The research we have done shows no VRBO etc within 50-60 miles. Keeping the costs down but having lots of visiting and fun time is our goal.
A tentative schedule is:
Friday: arrive, probably barbecue burgers etc
Saturday: visiting, fun, games for all, lunch of sandwiches etc, breakfast for those who want and dinner prepared by us, activities include horseshoes and other yard games, and for those who like to shoot (targets), Karl Thrasher (he is with our daughter) will set up training and competitions about a mile from our house in a safe area. We will have activities for kids too!! Any ideas on any of these activities are welcome. How about pictures. Is there a family tree? Or we can create one.
Sunday: breakfast (by us) church service, lunch of sandwiches etc, continue visiting and activities, some may need to travel home this day. We will serve dinner probably smoked chicken etc.
Monday: breakfast by us. Some may travel. We will not plan anything for this day. There are several attractions in the area you may wish to see. We will come up with a list of ideas. Glacier Park is about 1.5 – 2 hours away and there are things to see in the Great Falls area.
Tuesday: Travel home or stay and visit. I will be retired January 1, 2023 so you are welcome.
I do not have contact information for many of your family members. (One of the reasons for this reunion is to meet extended families and reconnect with you). I can send letters, emails or the page to any family member you wish. Let me know how you prefer to be contacted.
I am probably leaving something important out of this letter; let me know!! If you have questions, call or write or email. Let me know how many of your family can attend!!

Family members in the area are Sandra Unger Webb and husband Tim (and 3 kids who may not know about this yet) and Sara McLean and Carl Thrasher (my daughter) Great Falls,
Chad & Becca Irwin (Sandra’s son) and Mom (Joanne Unger) are in Conrad
We will have 2 campers available for first come first serve. Ours sleeps 8-10 and Chad & Becca’s sleeps 4 I think. We may also have a guest room or so. We will have shower & bathroom facilities in our house.
