Fun Fact: Doug is an ordained minister 💒 and plays tuba with 🦐🎶

Why HSO: Doug joined HSO because he saw HSO play in high school and thought playing with the group would be so fun. When he got the phone call asking him to play with the group years later, he jumped at the opportunity and said YES!

November 9 at 7pm | Salem Lutheran Church, Deerwood

All Choirs Concert (with Legacy Youth Chorale)

November 10 at 3 pm | Gichi-ziibi Center, Brainerd

The Brainerd concert will offer American Sign Language interpreting by the Central Lakes College ASL program. Patrons may also reserve assigned seats in the main floor section of the hall.

***Please note that for our upcoming concerts, the Brainerd and Little Falls concerts will be on different days than usual. ***

The Brainerd concert will be on SATURDAY at 7:30 pm and the Little Falls concert will be on SUNDAY at 2:30 pm.

Why HSO: Leslie likes being in HSO because she gets to play with other adults in the area. She also feels that the community orchestra plays an incredible role in our small town, uniting people from all different walks of life. Introducing Youth Chorale’s concert program:

Be the Light explores poignant text, using imagery of light throughout to communicate feelings of warmth, comfort, and joy🥰

Upcoming events:

October 27 at 7 pm | Little Falls High School

Concert Choir has been invited to participate in this concert, to include 200 middle school and high school voices from around Central Minnesota. The concert is hosted by Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota, a nonprofit based in St. Cloud. Ticketing for this event will be handled by YCCM. We’ll let you know when tickets are available!


November 9 at 2 pm | Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts

This public concert, featuring the entire Legacy Youth Chorale and other youth singers from around the region, is the culmination of our ChoirCraze Choral Festival!🎶


November 10 at 3 pm | Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts

This event is a combined concert with Legacy’s adult choir, including all 120 adult & youth singers who are part of our fall programming🙌🏼

This year, we will be offering an assigned seating option at all of our Gichi-ziibi concert events when you reserve your tickets in advance. Our regular series concerts utilize a name-your-price ticketing model. Tickets will be available in early October😃

SAVE THE DATE — LYC sings with the HSO!

Legacy Youth Chorale will perform with the Heartland Symphony Orchestra this December as part of their winter series. LYC’s portion of the program will include music from Home Alone and “Christmas Canon” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
