When Tom and Andrea Brett opened a beautiful new medical office in the heart of Branson, they noticed a special conference room that wasn't living up to its potential. As musicians and songwriters, and hosts to many "jam jams" in the basement of their own home, they began to envision this space as a venue for aspiring artists who might be intimidated by large stages, but need a place to hone their

craft. They also realized that there are many professional musicians who would love a small, intimate place to share their music - where they could be more personal with their audience. Inspired by the rustic decor of their beautiful clinic in the Ozarks, and the concept of a nest being a place to be nurtured in, fly away from, and return to, the name "The Nest," was born. The Nest is a cozy, intimate venue focused on growing the original songwriting community in Southwest Missouri. We host full length concerts for singer/songwriters, “Jam Jams” for songwriters to share their works in progress, “Writers Round" concerts featuring original songs and stories by 3-4 artists, and various other concerts and events. The Nest also partners with the “Hooked” Songwriting Contest Competition - Southwest Missouri’s premiere songwriting contest.

Scott Sean White makes his home these days in Poetry, Texas, a perfectly named little town for a songwriter’s songwriter. He is a storyteller both in his songs and the banter in-between songs, laying out his life experience - his faith and struggles - and intertwining it all with his craft. He also has two songs on the Cody Johnson album “Human” including “God Bless the Boy” and “Made a Home,” and a brand new one called “Over Missing You” that Cody just recorded for the deluxe version of his new album “Leather” and you can find it all over YouTube and TikTok because he’s been playing it as an encore song at his concerts recently. Scott also penned several Bryan Martin songs as well including “Poets and Old Souls” and “Wishbone.” Scott’s own live show is starkly honest, transparent, and eye-opening - full of laughter and probably a few (good) tears, too.

Sundi Jo is a Branson/Nashville Americana/Roots Gospel recording artist and songwriter. She brings a soulful style to her music that makes her unforgettable. Her voice and ability to write songs from the heart drive her passion to keep making music.

Artist Spotlight — Scott Sean White

Scott Sean White makes his home these days in Poetry, Texas, a perfectly named little town for a songwriter’s songwriter. His first album, “Call It Even,” came out in April 2021, and Jack Ingram said, “Some songwriters spend precious time struggling to find their truth and make it rhyme. Others just pick up their guitar and tell it. Scott Sean White is one of the others.”

His new album, “Even Better On the Bad Days,” which came out January 19th, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Singer-songwriter chart, and was produced by Grammy nominated producer Dave Brainard, who did Brandy Clark’s critically acclaimed masterpiece “12 Stories” album. “Even Better On the Bad Days” also features a song called “Hope You Never Do” which Scott co-wrote with Radney Foster, Eric Erdman, and Chad Wilson, AND... Radney sang harmony on it.
