Our Story

Coming soon The Launch of Our new Cookie Of The Month Club. www.Cowboyjimscookiesandcandies.com

Jim Klingensmith is the owner of Cowboy Jim’s Cookies and Candies

Born in Missouri and raised in Oklahoma he grew up in his mother’s restaurant. That is where his love of cooking and baking started. He joined the Marine Corp in 1962. When Jim got out of the Marine Corp in 1982 he found that his love of art and baking were great therapy. So was bull riding until he got hurt. In 1992 he and his wife Debbie moved to Central Florida. Even though he was a graphic artist and lead foreman for Walt Disney World and a truck driver, the kitchen was still his favorite place to be. Jim made countless gift baskets for his wife Debbie and her coworkers who use them for their new timeshare owners. In 2013 Jim bought a food trailer and started Cowboy Jim’s Cookies and Candies. Jim has helped so many other Vets like himself to work through their issues go on to get jobs in the culinary field. Since 2013 he has won 9 People’s Choice Awards competing in the Food Wars. In 2016, after the death of a family member, Jim sold the cookie trailer, moved the business out to the Henderson, Las Vegas area and went to online cookie sales. “I will run this business and bake until I can’t” I‘ll also go the extra mile to help my fellow veterans.
