The historical society wants to thank Paul Dunwoodie, Dennis Batchelar, and Doneta Wright for all the work they put into preparing Tait Park for the festival. They put in several hours of their own time, mowing and w**d eating. The park looked great!!!!!

The 2nd annual Dr. C. L. Woolsey Ragtime & Artisans Festival. The festival grew in number of attendees and vendors. Good food was available, and something for everyone was offered at the traditional and craft vendors. The weather was perfect and Tait Park was a beautiful setting for a fun filled day.

In 1913, Dr. C. L. Woolsey built his own car in his garage. It was of 'original and beautiful design". The story goes, that Doc Woolsey had a small cage on the back of the car to collect chickens that some people paid him with, when they didn't have money.

Jamie Pauls of Chillicothe will be one of our featured musicians, playing Ragtime. Jamie has played the piano since the age of 10. He studied under Betty Preston Steele from 1975 through the mid 80's, and was involved in numerous recitals and competitions throughout the years. He has played in various bands and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Rhonda Vincent, Mo Bandy, Lionel Cartwright, and the 2012 X Factor winner, Tate Stevens. He taught Music Appreciation for several years at NCMC at Trenton. Jamie and his wife, Stacie currently reside in Chillicothe, where he leads worship at Lifepoint Church, assists in small church worship with Serving Pastors Ministries based out of Kansas City, and plays in various local band and ensembles. Jamie was a crowd favorite at last years festival, and we look forward to him being a part of our festival again this year!
