Today Deutscklasse said Vielen Dank to Ruth Okey for 11 years of teaching the Beginners class. Over 40 Deutscklasse members met at the Wursthaus in Santa Ana since the Phoenix Club’s restaurant is still under construction. The food was very good and they were very accommodating for our large group. They had several different types of bratwurst including three types of vegan bratwurst. Our president Robert was bold enough to try the Rattlesnake/Rabbit bratwurst off of the exotic menu category. Ruth was presented with a Years of Service award and a handmade Memory Book. The Memory Book included pictures and notes from students over the past 11 years. Everyone had wonderful time! Ruth will be missed, but she has promised to come back as a substitute teacher and attend our parties. 🇩🇪

Sunday, July 9 the Deutscklasse leadership team and teachers got together for dinner and to plan the upcoming school year. New classes will start on Thursday, September 7 🇩🇪
We are welcoming two new teachers this year. Patrick will be teaching Advanced and Elizabeth will be teaching Beginning. Dominique will continue to teach the Intermediate class. We are all looking forward to a great year of learning German at the Phoenix Club in Brea 🇩🇪
New Adult and High School students are welcome to join us. Phoenix Club membership is required. Message us for more information.

The Deutscklasse Bibliothek is finally open again! Our students have been eagerly waiting to check out books and videos for so long! Due to the pandemic and the transition to our new location in Brea we had to close down our library until last night. 📚
