It’s my first REAL full day off… when my day has huge, open gaps of nothing to do or accomplish. And it’s been pretty fun just sitting outside a coffeshop in my town… people-watching. Seeing everyone in their groups smiling, hugging & holding hands… It has a way of filling me with gratitude and love that all my rushing and doing overlooks. Right now, life truly does feel like a gift. I hope it feels that way for you as well! ❤️

Just got food from somewhere. I tipped when I ordered, and my chicken came to me raw. Can I just say that I find it truly bizarre at how often we are all being asked to tip BEFORE we are served or BEFORE we experience anything other than simply standing in line. Am I supposed to base my tip off of that experience??? I think I might stop tipping at that point in time… like when then POS gets flipped around to me… instead I’ll let them know I’m tipping nothing and that I will return to tip AFTER my experience. And fingers crossed I sit at a clean table or can throw things away in a bin that isn’t overflowing or I visit a bathroom that is both open and serviced and let’s not forget the biggie- that my food is fully cooked and maybe even tasty. I too work in an industry where tips are very much appreciated. And I can personally say that I bust my ass to try to elevate the clients’ experience. A little bit of care and effort go along way and are VERY deserving of a solid tip. Yep, that’s what I’m gonna start doing. I’m gonna start carrying some cash, tipping nothing BEFORE and returning AFTER to tip for the elevated experience. Thanks for helping me process!!!

butterfly & lightning bolt… It was the week leading up to my birthday. My son landed 2 last-minute, nosebleed tickets to Muse (one of my favs), and I couldn’t talk a single soul into going with me. Then came a snow storm and a road closure, but I got there by my lonesome. During the opening act, while chugging water in the hallway, this guy approached me and asked if I came alone, to which I replied “YES.” Then he gave me a bracelet for GA Floor access… said he wanted to find someone from the nosebleeds who was all by themself. Gotta love the little nudges and winks from above that land lightly like a butterfly and also strike straight through your heart like a lightning bolt. I needed that page of my story, and now I have it bookmarked. And yes, the concert was AMAZING!!!!!!!!
