This much needed visit to be with family brought me some much needed clarity & focus. 5 months into 2021 and I’m still heartbroken over what 2020 revealed in people, more specifically many of the wedding professionals that I used to “follow” for inspiration and ones that I believed represented and advocated for all things LOVE. Kindness, inclusion, forgiveness, acceptance and grace are values I as a person hold dear. If my values resonates with you as a business owner, I’m here to say “I want to do business with you”. In fact, I need to do business with you. My soul needs to connect with those of you that live these values every day.
So at this point you may be wondering what the accompanying photo is about. Well shortly before COVID-19 and the political craziness that consumed most everyone, I became a member of .
If you’ve been following me you have probably heard that it’s a nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers in our area that I post about from time to time. This group has been a godsend for keeping me positive through last year. While others were publicly shaming one another we were focused on the women and girls of any ethnicity in our community. This Little Blue Pantry is a contribution from to the Bremerton community. When we fill it we have no idea who will take from it and for me, that’s the best thing about it. It serves as a way to give back without judgement, shame or control. If you are someone in need, knows someone who is, or best of all, someone who can contribute to the pantry, please consider doing so.
If you are wondering what types of items to contribute, feel free to send me a dm and I’ll send you a suggested list of items. But in short, you can’t go terribly wrong with basic dry/canned foods or hygiene items. I’d suggest thinking about the packaging to keep it insect and animal free.
Lastly, if you are interested in serving this community, please contact us by going to the Soroptomist Greater Bremerton tag above.
Whew 😅, I feel better now that I’m no longer holding that in. Please consider service. It’s a great way to be part of a solution.
