The 2024 Washington County Fair Queen Contest Application is now available! 👑 Represent Washington County and gain leadership skills, public speaking skills, lifelong memories and scholarship money!

Any young woman that will be a junior or senior in the Fall of 2024 and resides in Washington County is eligible to apply and participate. Each contestant must be an active member of at least one school organization, such as band, 4-H, FFA, athletics, etc.

Please contact your club/organization or the fair office for an application. Applications are due by May 30, 2024.

VIP Passes and Parking Passes (for Washington County Fair volunteers) will be sold on Tuesday, August 29 - Thursday, August 31 from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Annex Building Conference Room. VIP Passes are $50 per person and includes four nights of meals and eight drink tickets. Please note, VIP Passes do not include Fair Season Tickets.

Exhibitor Passes and Parking Passes (for Washington County Fair livestock exhibitors) will also be available for pick up/sold at this time.

Hi! I’m Makayla Hueske and I’m honored to be running for Fair Queen for the 155th Washington County Fair. I am a Junior at the Brenham High School and I am proud to be representing Brenham FFA on this Journey. I am the daughter of Jennifer and Stewart Fleetwood and the granddaughter of Wayne and the late Jackie Hueske. I am a niece of John Scott Hueske and Jason Hueske. My family has deep roots in Washington County and has been members of the business community and strong supporters of the Washington County Fair for decades. My passion is raising and showing lambs, not only at the Washington County Fair, but also at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Dallas State Fair, Rodeo Austin and numerous jackpot shows. Other activities I enjoy when not showing lambs is Floral design in FFA and participating in the Christian organization Young Life’s to continue my walk with Jesus Christ my Savior. I plan to continue my education in agriculture at Texas Tech University and get a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Education to become an Ag Teacher. I am excited to interact with the Washington County community to make the 155th Washington County Fair the best one yet!!!
