I was enjoying a "DJ night off" with my wife having dinner at "Tao" in Mohegan Sun. The Music piped into the dining area was off the hook, and mixed really well. I asked the waitstaff if there was a DJ somewhere in the restaurant, and lo and Behold I find the one and only DJ "Flip" Crisante rocking the decks in this packed restaurant. Nice gig, man and you sound awsome!!
The "Holiday Party Marathon" is underway! Having a setup that is flexible is key, and the party's pictured above run from 50 people to more than 100.
One more week of the marathon, then it's Christmas break!
A tale of 3 setups: This week, Mobile Music had 3 different style jobs with radically different setups.
Thursday, I had the privilege to provide light & sound for Porsche Danbury, and help launch the 2024 Cayenne. Good people and an awesome vehicle!
Friday, we were at the Mizzentop School in Pawling for costume parade and school dance. Fantastic costumes and great kids!
Saturday was the biggie: 600+ kids from Brookfield High celebrating at a homecoming dance. Chris and I (The Throwback Brothers) teamed up for this one, and it was a monster.
Each job called for a unique setup and a different musical menu, and Mobile Music rose to the occasion.
All set up for the Brewster High School homecoming dance, with colors matching the Brewster green and white.
On a perfect day for a car show, I had the privilege (for the 14th consecutive year) to play the Kiwanis car show at Harbor Island in Mamaroneck. This show is always a large job, and todays amazing weather brought out 300+ cars, including an early 30's Auburn that won best in show.
Way to go, Kiwanis!!!
A rare "triple" this weekend with events Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday, Mobile Music teamed up our friends at OnePlug for a monster wedding at Aria in Prospect, Ct.
Saturday found Mobile Music with the outdoor setup in Patterson NY, at a very cool, very hip house party.
Sunday, we motored to Stamford Ct for what DJ's call an "outdoor/indoor", or an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. Amazing bride and groom, and the staff at the Stamford Nature Center was top notch!
Monday....no plans. Whew.

The kids were amazing, dancing from when the doors opened at 6 all the way to the finale' at 11.

After a Monster outdoor prom on Friday, Mobile Music had to hustle between a 2 jobs on Saturday!
Saturday morning found us at Porsche Danbury, helping celebrate 75 years of Porsche! Cool cars, great food and fantastic music all afternoon. Then we literally ran home, swapped out gear and motored to Red Rooster in Brewster, for an "American Graffiti Saturday Night". The weather was perfect, and every space was taken in the parking lot, so lots of happy people eating ice cream and doing the twist!
All in all, a great weekend.

Yours truly teamed up with the one and only "DJ Magic" to play the Emmit O'Brien Senior prom at Anthony's Ocean View in New Haven.
The kids were fantastic, singing so loud they drowned out the music! A great event with a great friend.
A tale of 2 setups: It was a rare double for Mobile Music yesterday. Early Saturday morning, we were setup for the annual 3up 3down charity poker tournament. This is an every year event for Mobile Music and it was great to mingle with the tournament players, and also meet Yankee Jeff Nelson and Poker Great Jamie Gold.
In the late afternoon, it time to run (literally) to Lake Carmel and celebrate Rocco's 60th birthday.Rocco' has an amazing request list with everything from doo-wop to Shakira and Whitney.
A long day for sure, but a really great one too.
I spent last night at Tilly Foster Farm, in this stylish barn, playing for the fine folks at the Brewster Education Foundation.I DJ this event yearly and always look forward to playing music for the amazing Brewster educators!
In case you didn't know the Brewster Bears official colors are green and white, and as a tip of the hat to my Brewster peeps I uplit the room in the appropriate hue.
Mobile Music played a Fantastic, "unconstructed" outdoor wedding reception yesterday at Triton Farm in Brewster. I gotta say, this was refreshing change from the dressed up, traditional indoor reception. Just 250 of your closest friends and family hanging outdoors, enjoying a beautiful late summer night and having an awesome, chill time!
When the sun went down, the dance floor heated up and the party went overtime! Congrats to Mike and Christine!!!!
Diary of a crazy, insanely busy week in the DJ business:
Monday - get up at UGH o'clock to be set up and playing at 8AM for 1,000 teachers + staff at Danbury High School's football stadium.
Tuesday - breathe
Wednesday - Throwback Skate night at Hyde Park Rollermagic
Thursday - Work with OnePlug Ent. playing a monster wedding at the Candlewood inn (Congrats to the new Mr and Mrs Howard)
Friday - Breathe
Saturday - American Graffiti night at Red Rooster in Brewster
Sunday - Labor day pool party for 500+ at the Rye Golf pool
Working for my friend Chase Caldwell at OnePlug this morning, on the Danbury High School football field for an assembly of 1,000!!!! Music, speeches and a very cool guy with a T-shirt cannon made for a fun event!.
If I look a little tired, the wakeup for this job was VERY early this morning., but we rock it!!!
Car Show season is just a round the corner, and the first "Biggie" is Harbor Island in Mamaroneck. This is a super high quality show, with amazing cars and a great venue. I have played at this event going on 20 years now, and look forward to another amazing event!

I played one of my favorite events yesterday morning, the BluePath service dogs walk-a-thon. This event supports BluePath service dogs, an amazing charity that provides service dogs to families facing the challenges of autism. A record crowd, too many friendly dogs to count and hundreds of fantastic supporters of the program all showed up and had a great morning! A feel good event!
"Soul Skate Saturday" was just too much fun last night at Hyde Park Rollermagic. Getting to play all the old Soul was just too cool, but certain songs just made the crowd light up! In particular, "Between The Sheets" By The Isley Brothers and "Before I Let Go" by Frankie Beverly and Maze. One of the old Skate City peeps even came by! Just a joy to be able to play this music.
Got late-night plans this Saturday? Come and skate to the hits of the 70's and 80's at Hyde Park Rollermagic from 1130-230. I will happily play ANY classic skate music you request!
The ramp-up to the summer party season has begun, and this was a busy weekend for Mobile Music.
Friday night found us set up at the beautiful Candlewood Inn, for the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department's annual installation dinner (my dance floor was on fire!)A big thank you to Gianguzzi photography for the great pics of my setup! We partied late into the night...
Then, VERY early on Saturday, we took over the Sound/Light/MC duties for the annual 3up&3down charity poker tournament. 100+ players enjoyed a pro-level tourament, and I met Yankee legend Jim Leyritz!

A favorite returns!! "Strikes for Scolars" a fundraiser for the Dutchess County Foundation/Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, was back after a 3 year hiatus!
I love playing this job, and for the first time this season got to try out the new wireless rig and get music everywhere in this massive bowling alley. Nice event and great crowd!
Throwback Skate Night is becoming a thing! Every Wednesday night, skate to the hits of the 70's 80's and 90's...with a little new stuff thrown in for the fun of it (think Bruno Marrs). 100+ skaters join us every Wednesday to bounce, rock, skate and roll so join us for the fun!
The small setup in full "sparkly mode", all ready to go at Casa Rina restaurant in Hawthorne, for the Pound Ridge PBA's annual holiday party. This has been an annual event for Mobile Music as long as I can remember, and a good, festive time was had by all.

I played for a fantastic group of seniors yesterday. The "Croton Seniors Association" are return clients, and every job I play for them is fun and energy filled! The Harmon Firehuse in Croton was a great host, and I got the chance to play Sinatra, Bill Hailey and many other artists from the classic years of dancing music. Way to go Croton Seniors!
I had the good fortune to play for the Brewster Education Foundation at Tilly Foster Farm this Friday. The barn at Tilly Foster is the perfect combination of rustic and beautiful, and not only are the views from the farm amazing, the barn is an acoustic gem. The roof of the barn constructed in a way that no sound bounces around, so my system sounds phenomenal! Big thanks to the teachers who attended and were so fun to interact with! A fantastic event!
A "Monster" event for the fine folks at the Somers Intermediate School, playing music for their Trunk-or-Treat & birthday bash! The Mobile Music outdoor setup rocked for 3 hours, and the kids were awsome!
I had the distinct pleasure to DJ the 150th anniversary gala for the St Lawrence O'Toole Church last night. What a great bunch of people! Dancing from the first song to the last, it was a fantastic celebration!
A challenging day for Mobile Music...This "inside out" job called for music and announcements inside a large firehouse, and also outside the front of the firehouse. And it was raining to boot. I am always proud when I combine 40+ years of experience, great RCF equipment and some creativity to get a job done. Special thanks to Brewster FD for being great hosts, their annual open house is a fantstic event!
I played a beautiful wedding this weekend at Nuzzo's Farm in Branford, Ct. A heartfelt Congratulations to the Eidelman and Nixon families, you picked a fantastic venue that hosted a fantastic event! I had a ball playing old soul, new country music, and a little bit of everything else. My very best to the new Mr. and Mrs. Nixon.
Teamwork makes the dream work: Mobile Music once again teamed up with OnePlug entertainment of Danbury and along with DJ Chase, played to a massive 800 person dinner and fireworks show at the country club of Darien. A good time was had by all, and the Summer season was concluded with an awsome event!
Last night, I played a party for the Northville Volunteer Fire Dept. at a really neat venue called "19 Main". It's an old bank building in New Milford, Ct. that has been retrofitted to be an event space. My hosts at NVFD were awsome, and the staff at 19 Main rocked!
A big congratulations to the Henry H. Wells 8th grade graduating class! You are now officially in High School!
