Join us Saturday July 13th 1p - 3p for part II of our mini series at BPT Creates for〔The "Women’s Health and Herbalism" workshop which¹ is a comprehensive program designed to empower participants with knowledge and practices to enhance their well-being.

It begins with a brief history of women's health and an exploration of ancestral trauma, providing context and understanding of the unique challenges faced by women.

The workshop then guides participants through a series of *breathing exercises and a sacral chakra meditation to pro relaxation and energy flow. Attendees will also learn specific sacral chakra yoga poses aimed at releasing stagnation in this vital energy center.

The program addresses stress mitigation strategies tailored to women's health and introduces herbs and nutritional practices that support overall well-being, including local foraging tips.

Practical applications of herbal use are covered, including ways to ingest and utilize these natural remedies. An engaging activity involves creating a women's womb herbal blend, offering hands-on experience in herbalism.

The workshop concludes with a list of resources for further exploration.

The main hazard modes appear to be isolated to scattered damaging wind swaths and locally heavy rainfall. The City of Bridgeport has released the 2024 Citywide Public Art request for expressions of interest (RFEI). Building on the past success of the Color It In public art collaboration with the Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District, the City of Bridgeport is expanding the program across all neighborhoods of Bridgeport. 



The Citywide Public Art RFEI is accessible from the City of Bridgeport’s website. All interested artists are required to complete the RFEI form to participate in the 2024 Citywide Public Art projects.

Expressions of interest will be accepted through March 15, 2024.

The City will simultaneously be conducting outreach with neighborhood groups and working with property owners to confirm sites for the 2024 season. The selection process will begin after the deadline, and all selected artists will be notified of next steps.

There is a VERY important Board of Education Finance Committee meeting tonight! The Finance Committee has not met since October 25th, 2023. On Monday night, the Board approved $2 million in new contracts despite not seeing or knowing the district's budget for next year.

The BOE budget has always been made available in January. Last year, we attended Education Budget forums in February. Please attend either in-person or watch online to understand why the budget has been delayed - and what challenges/opportunities the district may be facing this coming year!

In collaboration with .aproductions & Skateport is proud to present the Rolling Renaissance Fashion Show. Models and skaters are invited to join us for a casting call on Sunday, January 21, 2024. The show date is Sunday, May 19, 2024

No modeling experience is required, but skaters will be required to demonstrate basic unassisted skills, including stopping and modifying speed. Roller blades are welcome.
