Someday this pictures will become like the vintage Picasso paintings! The art is forever!
💕It’s been quite a journey since I set foot in the realm of photography in 2011. The countless incredible families I’ve met, and the hundreds of clients I’ve photographed – they’ve all been a part of my journey, adding color and warmth to my portfolio. To say that I love my job would be an understatement. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
✨
But there was a time when something felt amiss. I’d shoot a portrait, edit it, and hand over the digital files, only to watch them get a single moment of glory on a Facebook post before they disappeared in the depths of a camera roll, seemingly forgotten. I used to wonder, “Is this all there is to photography?”
✨
Then came a shift. I discovered the power of printing and framing these portraits, and it was transformational. The moment I started printing my studio portraits and displayed them in my clients’ homes, I felt a sense of calmness, a satisfaction that hadn’t been there before.
This change was inspired by a well-established photographer, a mentor who took immense pride in their printed artwork. I decided to adopt the same approach, and oh boy, it has changed my life!
✨
Now, each session creates not only a digital portfolio, but also beautiful, framed printed artwork pieces and heirloom albums. These tangible pieces of art have become an integral part of my client process. Every client walks away with a piece of artwork that can be passed down to the next generation.
✨
No longer does our art get lost within a generation; it is cherished and passed down, a legacy of moments beautifully captured and preserved for eternity.
✨
Today, I know that my work as a Pittsburgh photographer is not just about capturing moments. It’s about creating timeless art, treasured memories that weave stories across generations. So here’s to the power of print, and here’s to the journey of a lifetime!🎉🍾
