Bridgewater Music Alley Music Alley shows will take place between 5 and 8 PM on Thursdays. Our weekly events are FREE to all. Our shows typically run mid-June through mid-September.

The Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) team is preparing to begin their booking process for the 2025 season. If you are a performer or if you are a patron and would like to recommend a performer, please go to our website and submit an inquiry form.

The Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) team works hard to review every submission and listens to the music links provided. We receive a couple hundred submissions each year. All submissions that have previously been submitted will also be considered.

If you are a performer or manage a performer, go to www.bridgewatermusicalley.com and click on the "Perform" tab at the top of the page to submit a performance inquiry.

If you are interested in recommending an act that you love, please click on the "Contact" tab and leave us a message on the form at the bottom of the page.

We may have had to call the evening a bit early on account of rain, but at least we got to close out the 2024 Friends of Music Alley season with some great live music by Cody Nilsen and Jeff Rosen Acoustic.

Thank you to all of the die-hards that braved the elements and were treated to some high-quality live music by some very talented musicians down at Black Hat Brew Works.

The summer is now over, and we look forward to once again spending out sun-soaked Thursday evenings with you next year. Here's to another summer full of amazing live music, delicious food trucks, and refreshing Black Hat brews. Until then...

Come check out two fantastic acts, as we wrap up another hugely successful season over at Black Hat Brew Works. Cody Nilsen headlines the show tonight and you do not want to miss this special talent, as Cody and his band close out the summer in style.

Opening the evening is Jeff Rosen Acoustic and he is sure to kick off the evening right. Be sure to get to Black Hat early to grab a great seat and some amazing BBQ off of the South Shore Smoke House food truck.

Black Hat is pouring some of the best brews in the region and they just started pouring their Linus' Dream (A Great Pumpkin Ale) and their Oktoberfest Bier if you are looking to get a jump on enjoying some great Fall brews.

Cody Nilsen last took to the stage at Black Hat Brew Works for a Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) performance as part of Ward Hayden & The Outliers. In what many thought was Music Alley's highlight of that summer, Nilsen's musicianship was admired by many.

Now you can come see Cody Nilsen headline a Music Alley show, as he prepares to release his upcoming album 'Benchwarmer' (Co-Produced by Tim Brennan of the Dropkick Murphys).

We've got a big one for you this week! Eddie Japan comes to Black Hat Brew Works this Thursday and they plan to give you a proper Rock 'n' Roll experience. This celebrated Boston cinematic-pop septet elicits a spectrum of genres - new wave, pop-rock, glam, indie, alternative, and a new retro-pop sound.

What a beautiful evening of live music with Laroy Streat and Billy Thompson Productions. There was some raw storytelling and real emotion conveyed through music last Thursday. It was a special evening for sure.

Flash back to when the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2019. Laroy Streat, this week's Music Alley performer, had just gone viral after posting an AFC Championship Anthem in honor of Tom Brady.

This track was shared on every form of social media, received on-air news coverage, and was performed live by Laroy on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Laroy's masterful way with words and Boston Sports passion resonated with millions.

While still a sports fan today, Laroy's music resonates with many for much different reasons. His music is insightful, honest, and real. He shares from his challenges and victories and builds listeners up by demonstrating grit and perseverance.

This Thursday! Come check out Laroy Streat and his fabulous band, as they bring their amazing brand of R&B and Hip Hop to the stage at Black Hat Brew Works. Joining them is Billy Thompson Productions and he will be opening the evening up with a selection of his original music. This will be a phenomenal evening of live music!

Be sure to get there for when the doors open at 5:00 p.m. and grab a great seat and some dinner from TamBo’s Kitchen. TamBo's will be making their Black Hat and Music Alley debut and there will surely be some amazing African cuisine to be had. Get excited! Ward Hayden & The Outliers are returning to perform at Black Hat Brew Works again this summer for another Friends of Bridgewater Music Alley performance. Ward and the guys are fresh off of headling the orange stage on Day 2 just before Tyler Childers and they crushed it in front of a massive crowd. While not quite as massive, last summer's Music Alley show was a blast and a huge crowd had an amazing live music experience. Opening the evening is singer songwriter, Katie Cooke. Katie will be performing songs from her soon to be released debut album. Katie's angelic vocals and ability to tell viceral stories through her lyrics will be a special treat. Come enjoy some great live music, some cold, fresh Black Hat brews, and dinner off of our food truck. You can't beat it for the price of #FREE! Friends of Music Alley Present: Lainey Dionne (BAND) & Andrew Geano The Friends of Music Alley have a great one cooked up for this Thursday, July 11th. Lainey Dionne (musician) and her band will be performing at Black Hat Brew Works for a very special evening of live music. Lainey is the New England Music Awards reigning Songwriter of the Year and her song 'broken clock (stumbled into you) garnered Grammy consideration. The evening will be opened by power-pop/folk music hybrid Andrew Geano (Music). The N-GON Viet Subs food truck will be on site serving up mouth-watering sandwiches, and more. Stop by for some amazing live music and some of those famous Black Hat brews.

The Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) are very lucky to have some very talented and generous musical firends. Come out this Saturday for a very special weekend show featuring; The Male Bonding Band, Picnic, Barry & Patty Simon, The Chuck Oachs Group, David Jackson, Jerry Lagadec, Fam & Rando, Andrew Lewis, The Donnelly Brothers, Jack Phaneuf, and MORE! Black Hat Brew Works will be pouring refreshing brews and proceeds from sales and passing of the bucket will help the Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) continue to provide our community with FREE high-quality live music.

The Story of Music Alley

Located in Bridgewater, Massachusetts the Music Alley performances take place between 5 and 8 PM on Thursdays each June through early September. All music will be family centered entertainment, vendors will sell food each week and the community will gather and share in live music!

Music Alley started as an area between two buildings that contained little more than unkempt grass, broken fence posts, debris; it was generally an ignored area. The Town Clerk, Marilee Hunt, had a vision to turn it into a community space with possible entertainment.

In the start of 2016, Marilee Hunt gathered a group of Bridgewater residents to form a steering committee in order to explore the options and secure funds to execute a plan. This committee created Music Alley, a community outdoor music venue to hold weekly entertainment during the summer months, free to anybody who wanted to enjoy the area and live entertainment.

The first year of performances gained much more attention than originally anticipated; it was clear that Music Alley was a ‘hit’ with attendees! Every night saw 100+ people over the course of the evening. Since then, citizens have never stopped asking about what is next for Music Alley or who is playing in the next season.
