If you know me, I’m an open book. I’ve always promised to be transparent with anything I do, both personally and professionally.
This post is no different.
Since we opened Shore Space almost two years ago, we have offered DIY workshops at night and on weekends.
It’s an amazing experience partnering with local artisans and makers, for workshops that I don’t or can’t teach myself.
I’ve been approached by close to 100 amazingly talented individuals that want to host workshops, events, or experiences at Shore Space, and for that I’m grateful for. I’ve also learned a lot of lessons along the way.
As a brick and mortar business owner, meaning I own a business with a store front people can walk into, I have laws and regulations on what I can and cannot do. It costs a lot of money and a lot of time to learn how to follow all the rules.
As much as I would like to partner with everyone that has approached me, I need to set boundaries. Shore Space is a legitimate, “by the books business”, and I expect the same for anyone I partner with.
So, if you would like to partner with Shore Space, please know I require a business license, insurance, and tax documents (they vary based on the business).
To everyone who walks in our door, please know you may pay a few bucks more ($1-$3) to attend a workshop or event, but that money goes to support legitimate small businesses. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Explore the fascinating properties of resin art and create your own beautiful beach scene design with our Resin Art Frame Workshop. Choose your shells, glass, and accessories from our extensive seashell buffet! Through our guided class we will teach you how to set a flawless piece with resin and support you throughout the creative process. Follow a provided stencil to guide your design or create a custom piece of whatever inspires you.
