What if we didnāt have to ādress to impress,ā but instead, we dressed in what weāre comfortable in? If that was the case, youād never find me in slacks and a nice blouse... Instead, Iād wear a sweatshirt and leggings all day every day, even when Iām setting up for a wedding! Let me tell you though, that was NOT the case for this groom! He was looking very sharp for his beautiful bride. What would you wear if you didnāt have anyone to impress?

In 2014 when I started working with florals by doing my own wedding florals, I dreamed of one day I'd be a florist, and after tons of lessons, mistakes, and endless workshops, I finally made it happen. Life is too short to not spend time with the people you love mostā¦ Do you agree? The most important people in my life are my husband, Kevin and my two kiddos, Penelope and Harrison, and Iād do anything to spend as much time with them as I can. Thatās one of the reasons why I am a florist... owning a business allows me to take play breaks when need and no one to tell me I can't, and itās a privilege Iāll never take for granted. Who do you want to spend more time with in your life?

Fridays are for fun floral facts and this weeks flower is snapdragons.
āŖIn Russia, Snapdragons they are used to create edible oils.
āŖSnapdragons are susceptible to ethylene gas and should be kept away from ripe fruits and vegetables as placing them in a room with these can cause them to wilt faster
āŖPeak growing season is April to June and August to October

Ready for a healthy dose of Expectation vs. Reality? A lot of people think my business looks like Julie Andrews in a flower field in The Sound of Music, just spinning around collecting bunches of flowers but in actuality, it more resembles hours of building floral mock ups and endless shopping at the wholesale finding the best florals to make wedding dreams come true. It may not always be glamorous, but Iām grateful for it every day! Can you relate?! What do people think you do for a living but what do you really do?
