Little Miss Art and I always have fun at SOAM but yesterday was really special.

I got to see baby Elliotte and her parents Kelly and Joshua. I helped celebrate a lovely Baby Dedication for them last May. It was so nice to see them and see how much Elliotte has grown!

This was definitely the hardest thing I have ever had to write or deliver. My mother’s Celebration of Life service was this past week and I knew in my heart that I needed to stand and speak to what an amazing woman and mother she was.

I will be forever grateful for the strength she gave me to push forward in life (I will still be moping around through the end of this week though 😉) and carry on.

I wish all of life’s celebrations were happy and joyful, unfortunately they are not and as an ordained minister, I sometimes get called on to lead a funeral service and help a family through it’s grief.

This service hit harder than most because it was for my uncle, but helping my own family with this step in their grief was very healing for myself as well.

Rest In Peace Uncle Chuck. I’ll help keeping the sarcasm and wiseassery going. 🧡

Another lovely wedding at Lighthouse Inn yesterday. It was windy but we got through it and it was beautiful!

Truly enjoyed being at the Lighthouse Inn and meeting 📸 Giana Murphy Photography and seeing 📸Alexis Marie Photography + Designs again was great. I wish I had grabbed cards from the 🎥 videographer and 🎶 dj as well - but weddings are busy events and we don’t always get to do that! 😞

Honor and privilege. I say it at every wedding. I say it because it’s true. I am honored that Ariel and Anthony chose me to perform their ceremony today. It is a privilege to be chosen to take part in such an important event in their lives. Everything was beautiful! An amazing couple, I am so happy for them and wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Simba defintely makes Zoom meetings with my couples very interesting. He often sits nearby and provides cuddles and purrs as I write ceremonies. He is the very best Director of Awesomeness and I am grateful for him. Happy 1st birthday Simba!
