Border Bash is a free summer concert series held annually on State Street in Historic Downtown Bristol, TN/VA--The Birthplace of Country Music!

Border Bash is hosted annually by Believe in Bristol and the Cities of Bristol, TN/VA. The roving mini-fest is held twice-monthly, May through August, along the stateline in the Birthplace of Country Music’s historic Downtown Bristol, TN/VA. The free concert series has grown to include children’s activities and vendors, and much more. Border Bash takes place on the first and third Fridays, May through August.

The Sessions Hotel is hosting another music benefit in downtown Bristol today at 3pm to benefit the flood relief efforts with Joey's Van, Alpine Motel, and Orbital Planes! All proceeds go to local flood relief. See you downtown!

Dancing Downtown: Eras Version begins at 5pm today at Pedestrian Plaza (next to WCYB), and we’re ready to “Shake It Off!”

There will be food trucks, a costume contest, bracelet making, vendors, photo ops, dancing, and more! Tis the spooky season! If you’re into scary 🫣 movies, then you know Terrifier 3 is in movie theaters now. What you may not know is that five spooky songs on the film’s soundtrack were arranged, orchestrated, and produced by Dave Eggar at Classic Studio Bristol in downtown Bristol with Mike Stephenson and Ben Francis acting as co-producers. The songs contained other local artists Anthony Childress, Teni Rane Music, Phil Faconti, Levi Trent Music, Noah Denton, and outlawtrombone. Border Bash alumni, Hawkins French, also performed on the project. Go get your fright on and listen to the spooky sounds in a movie theater near you!

A great way to bring together a community is through live music. The Scott Miller will be performing at The Sessions Hotel next Saturday on the lawn. Water will be collected to help our neighbors who were hit hard by the storm. Head over to Sessions to purchase your ticket. See you there!

Hey, music lovers. Like us at Believe in Bristol, we know you feel deeply saddened by the recent storm damage in Northeast Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia, which has led to the cancellation of many beloved fall events. However, Bristol PepperFest will still take place as scheduled this Saturday.

In light of these difficult times, we are using this event as an opportunity to help our neighbors. We will be collecting bottled water donations to support those affected by the disaster. Your generosity can make a difference. Please consider bringing a donation to help those in need.

The Soulamanders will bring their sweet sounds to the event as we come together to uplift our community! We can’t wait to see you all at the Downtown Center this Saturday! Thank you for your kindness and support. We’re in this together!

Border Bash alum and friend, Ben Sollee, will be performing a pop up show this Friday, August 30th at The Sessions Hotel as part of his current tour promoting his new album. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the tunes outside at the Lauderdale Stage. Did we mention it’s a free show? Southern Craft BBQ Bristol will be open serving dinner and drinks. Show starts at 8pm. As you all know Believe in Bristol is all about supporting all things local, and we officially consider Singer-Songwriter, Lee DeWyze, one of our local artists now. Lee rented a house, and moved to Bristol for two months to finish writing the songs and record his new album, “Gone For Days,” in downtown Bristol’s Classic Recording Studio.

Not only did he do writing and recording in Bristol, but he also asked local musicians to perform on his album like Grammy Awards-winner, Dave Eggar, and Phil Faconti (We claim them as local!), Blake Collins Mandolin, Noah Denton, Jacob Burleson, Mike Stephenson (owner of Classic Recording Studios), GRAMMY-winner Barry Bales, and Blue Highway’s GRAMMY-winning Tim Stafford.

Knowing all of this, how can we not consider Lee DeWyze as a Bristol artist?! We’re so honored and proud that he chose to work here in downtown Bristol! Continue to support our local music scene by purchasing, streaming, and sharing Lee’s new single, “Devil In The Details,” and pre-order his new album, “Gone For Days,” which is set for a September 13th release! Big things are happening in the Birthplace of Country Music!
