Happy New Year! We hope to see everyone on State Street supporting all things local, especially our music scene, in 2025! Here’s Bristol OG, Blake Collins Mandolin, sharing a jammy “Auld Lang Syne” to take us into this year with good vibes. Be sure to hit up Blake at Goodman Jewelers of Bristol, located on State Street, and definitely catch him picking the mando when you see him with Bristol Lightning and any other project. Happy New Year, Bristol! #2025 #livemusic #supportlocal #supportyourlocalmusicscene #believeinbristol
It’s #GivingTuesday! We can’t think of a better nonprofit to support than Believe in Bristol. This Main Street organization is hustling up and down State Street all year long! It’s comprised of one full-time employee and one part-time employee, and everyone else pitching in to make things happen is volunteers.
Believe in Bristol supports all things local, and is responsible for atmosphere in downtown (peep the Christmas trees!), the Halloween and 4th of July parades, the downtown Entrepreneur Contest, Border Bash, and so much more. If you plan to give today, please consider giving to Believe in Bristol. Enjoy this clip of Sam Burchfield and the Scoundrels performing in August 2024 at Border Bash!
🛍️ It’s Small Business Saturday! Shop all things local from our merchants in downtown Bristol, TN/VA for your holiday gift giving. There’s something for everyone! Dollars spent local, stay local. So, support all things local, especially our merchants downtown, and your local music scene. If you enjoy gifting music, consider buying merch from a local artist. And, speaking of local artist, here’s the Fritz & Co. duo, Logan and McKenna, dropping the Christmas tunes during Downtown Open House. #SmallBusinessSaturday #supportlocal #shoplocal #supportyourlocalmusicscene
Hope everyone is enjoying this first taste of snow for the season! We think it calls for Christmas music! Here’s Anthony Childress performing a wintry Christmas tune from last night’s Christmas tree lighting in downtown Bristol. P.S. He’s available for music and comedy bookings. 😂 Believe in Bristol loves Anthony!
FYI, this version of the song can be heard in Terrifier 3. Songs on the film’s soundtrack were arranged, orchestrated, and produced by Dave Eggar at Classic Studio in downtown Bristol with Mike Stephenson and Ben Francis acting as co-producers. The songs contained other local artists Teni Rane Music, Phil Faconti, Levi Trent Music, Noah Denton, and outlawtrombone. Border Bash alumni, Hawkins French, also performed on the project.
We’ll see you Monday for the Annual Downtown Open House beginning at 5:30pm!
