🏡✨ The Porch Farm Stand is coming together! ✨🏡

We’ve been busy getting our front porch ready for the farm stand, and we’re getting so excited to finally get it up and running! ❤️

We still have a few things to finish, including putting out the shelves and getting the refrigerator in place. We’ll get those things finished up when we get back from Canton First Monday next weekend.

We already have several delicious homemade items planned, and we can’t wait to start filling the porch with goodies for y’all! 🥖🍪🍰

We’re thinking about having the farm stand open a couple of days each week, but we need YOUR help deciding which days!

🍞 Who loves the smell of fresh-baked bread?! 🙋‍♀️🤎

Today I baked up two loaves of homemade sandwich bread, and y’all… they turned out SO good! 😍 There’s just something special about a warm, golden loaf of bread fresh from the oven.

And I’m not stopping here! Next on my list to try:

🌶️🧀 Jalapeño Cheese Bread

I’ve also been working on something new that I’m really excited about! We’re hoping to have a Front Porch Farm Stand up and running starting sometime in September! 🏡🌻

The plan is to have a variety of homemade goodies and other items available for you to stop by and purchase right from the porch.

As we prepare to close our storefront next week, we have been exploring new opportunities to continue serving our wonderful customers. We are excited to announce that beginning July 2, you can find us at Canton First Monday!

We were fortunate to secure a booth and are looking forward to this exciting new chapter for our business. In addition to our boutique items, you'll also find Pashia's Sweet Treats featuring gourmet cookies, oatmeal cream pies, and delicious homemade cinnamon rolls.

Come visit us on the Lewis side in Pavilion 4000, Booths 4338 & 4339, and shop with us alongside several other wonderful local businesses that also set up there. Our booth will be open July 2–5, and we will be participating in Canton First Monday each month. We’ll continue to share monthly updates and event dates so you can plan your visit.

🍪 Calling All Gluten-Free Sweet Lovers! 🍪

Have you been looking for gluten-free treats? We've had several people ask if any of our cookies could be made gluten-free, so today I spent some time working on our Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and successfully created a gluten-free version!

I had a few taste testers try them today, and the feedback was fantastic—they said they were very good and you'd never know they were gluten-free!

This is just the beginning. I'll be working on adapting more of our cookie flavors over the coming weeks so we can offer a larger variety of gluten-free options for everyone to enjoy.

If you're interested in placing an order for gluten-free cookies or other sweet treats, please send me a message. I'd love to hear what flavors you'd like to see added to our gluten-free lineup!

I baked a batch of lemon bars for a wonderful customer today and made a few extra while I was at it!

I currently have 6 lemon bars available and they are ready for pickup.

To our valued friends, family, and customers,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the difficult decision to close our beautiful storefront at the end of July.

We have truly loved being part of downtown Ennis and are beyond grateful for every customer who has supported us along the way. Your loyalty, encouragement, and kindness have meant more to us than words can express. Next month we will actually celebrate 4 years of being in business with most of those being somewhere here in downtown Ennis.

This past year has been incredibly challenging for small businesses, and unfortunately we’ve seen a major decline in foot traffic. With little to no sales and only a few people coming through our doors, made it clear that it is time for us to make this heartbreaking decision.

We have poured our hearts, souls, time, and savings into this business. Running a small business — especially in a small town — is not easy, and coming to terms with this feels like a tremendous loss for us.

To everyone who has supported us from day one, shopped with us occasionally, shared our posts, or simply stopped in while passing through — thank you. Every single purchase and kind word mattered.

Although we are closing our storefront, this is not goodbye completely. We plan to keep our page active, continue offering pre-orders, keep our website open, and hopefully participate in vendor events moving forward.

We had hoped to remain open until the end of October when our lease ended, but unfortunately we are unable to continue that long. We have submitted our two months’ notice and will officially close at the end of July.

Between now and then, we would deeply appreciate your continued support. Please continue sharing our store on social media, recommending us to friends and family, and shopping with us in-store or online. Every bit of support helps us more than you know. Let me reintroduce myself 🤍

My name is Pashia Blalock, and baking has always been a true passion of mine. What began as baking for my family and close friends eventually grew into requests from others wanting to purchase my baked goods, and in 2014 I officially began baking for the public.

I loved every moment of it until Covid hit and my dad became ill. I stepped away from baking to care for him, and after he passed away, I lost my passion for it for quite some time. He was my biggest supporter, and it simply wasn’t the same without him.

Now, thanks to my four beautiful grandchildren, I’ve rediscovered my love for baking — and I’ve truly missed it. 💕

I am a registered Texas Cottage Food Law bakery, and I would be honored to bake for you. I offer a variety of homemade sweets made with high-quality ingredients, trusted recipes, and lots of love.

Over the next few months, I’ll also be looking for vendor events to participate in, and I’m so excited to begin this journey again.
