update #3: I think Ryder enjoyed the heat, but we’re sure glad that the AC is back on and cooling! I’m feeling pretty confident in this propagation game after Ryder’s latest growth spurt!

We’re giving the spotlight on this weeks . Gerbera Daisies come in standard size, mini size and specialty varieties in alllll colors except blue! Gerberas love the sun and turn towards it, tracking it as it moves from east to west. Gerbera Daisies can be found as fresh cut flowers, as well as a blooming plant outdoors!

Meet my new favorite plant, the China Doll! This baby has been the most forgiving and resilient when I go a few days too long between waterings. 😬 She loves bright indirect light and staying in one place! China Dolls can grow to be between 3 and 4 feet tall. This is the plant for my four legged families as she is completely non-toxic to pets.

Botany plants lately?! This Arrowhead would be the perfect addition to your collection, I mean look at how beautiful she is! Due to its air purifying qualities and good looks, arrowhead plants are often cultivated as a houseplant, however every part of this plant is toxic, so it's best to keep it away from kids and pets!

We're finishing the week out strong with with oh so pretty peonies! Although peonies are most often a shade of pink, red or white, you can occasionally see them in yellows and oranges. A peony plant can grow for over 100 years in the right conditions 🤯 Starting as a ball, peonies open up to be more than three times their original size! Who coined the phrase "Stop and smell the roses" when peonies are often so much more fragrant?
Because of their short growth period, peonies are one of the most expensive flowers to buy.

update #2: I have't posted Ryder lately because not much is happening, but I think that is to be expected? Propagating really makes me acknowledge my lack of patience 😅 My plant app tells me he looks healthy so I'm going to let him just keeping doing what he's doing!

One of my goals for 2023 was to be better at social media; I wanted to be posting consistently, interacting with followers more, using it to it's fullest potential! I am here to say I have had some killer months where I did just that (June), but majority of the months I am slacking major so here is me utilizing the planner tool and trying to bring all our flower friends some bang up content for the remainder of 2023!
Please don't come for me if I fall off the wagon, though 😬

This Ti Plant is a palm-like shrub that symbolizes the connection between the living and the dead for some Austronesian cultures, having many ceremonial purposes. In practical terms, ti plant is used to make dyes and is grown for ornamentation.

We’re giving lessons on with this weeks . There are two main varieties of lilies - Oriental and Asiatic. Oriental lilies are highly fragrant and larger than Asiatic. Because lilies have multiple blooms per stem and open at different times, you can enjoy these flowers for soooo long! As they open you should remove the pollen to avoid pollen stains. All parts of lilies are VERY poisonous to pets - even the water lilies have been in can be harmful!
