Action is at the fairgrounds in Broken Bow throughout the day and you can go watch for free. Lineworkers from across the state are competing to complete tasks they see in the field safely and efficiently.

The storm that swept through Custer County, NE this evening claimed the roof of a building in Broken Bow near the intersection of South 5th Avenue and C Street. Pieces of the roof could be seen wrapped around a nearby power pole amid widespread outages across town. A tree across the street from the scene was snapped in half.

Crews from Broken Bow and Merna were on scene.
