2024 marked a special milestone for us - 10 years of creating life in our upper garden! A journey that began with humble beginnings has blossomed into so much more.
Over the years, we’ve sown countless seeds, nurtured a vibrant variety of flowers and vegetables as we’ve experienced the full spectrum of learning: the trials, the triumphs and everything in between. Failures taught us resilience, success brought us confidence and every step strengthened our connection to the land.
Looking back, the previous decade wasn’t just about gardening - it was about personal growth, patience and community. We’re so grateful for every moment, every lesson and every person who has been part of this journey with us.

🎬 Come along as I share highlights from my first “training” day with the Curry County Master Gardener Association. 🌱
We kicked things off by assembling our Sustainable Gardening Handbook, met our 17 fellow trainees and connected with several past graduate volunteers.
After our class enjoyed an outstanding potluck lunch provided by MGA Volunteers, our first learning module was an incredibly informative introduction to Inclusive Excellence in Extension, which set the tone for fostering a welcoming environment in all we do in our community.
The day was completed with field trips to the Gold Beach HS Greenhouse followed by a tour of the brand new Demonstration Greenhouse and Learning Garden at the GB Community Center that’s still under construction.
Such an inspiring and knowledgeable group! I am BEYOND stoked for this next chapter in my life!

GREETINGS GARDEN GEEKS!! I spent pretty much all day yesterday learning how to use my new GoPro Hero13 Black. Take a video, delete, take a video, delete, dozens and dozens, over and over. Short vids, long shots. By the time I liked any of it, it was well past dark out and very cold! Then I spent another couple hours this morning learning how to edit and I had to force myself to just say ENOUGH! So…here it is: My very 1st video, shot with my brand new darling. I removed my voice since I’m still recovering from being sick (I sound worse than I feel) and I kept coughing. Of course, I HAD to attach a techno beat to it.
