Excited to announce the Noise Workshop's new home-base, at 389 Melrose St in Bushwick, just a couple blocks from the Jefferson St L train stop. Noise Workshop is a bi-weekly Sunday evening performance series. Curtain time is 7:00, and your modest donation of $5 goes directly to the musicians. So far at this location we've had the good fortune to present works in progress from some great artists, a
mong them Sarah Bernstein, Jeremy Carlstedt/Steve Gauci, Weasel Walter Group, Brandon Lopez, Jimmy Lee, and Kevin Shea/Normandy Sherwood/Jason Blackkat -- with more booked over the coming months. The Noise Workshop began in 1993 as a series emphasizing cross-genre performance and informal collaboration. Its first run was at the knitting factory on houston st, and since that time it's found various homes, including CBGB, the Uncanny Valley, ABC No Rio -- and now 389 Melrose -- in the heart of the Bushwick Hipness Development Zone !
