Hello, flower friends!

I’m Katie, the lead designer and proud owner of Charlie Mae Florals. With all the new faces joining our community, I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself!

Here are some fun things about me:

- My favorite food is sushi.
- I am very detail oriented and over-prepare for all events. This drives my husband crazy but makes me ready for everything especially on wedding day!
- My current favorite flower is a butterfly ranunculus but that is always changing.
- My pets are my children. 🐶🐷🐓

Leaving the classroom behind after 10 years was really hard but it was the best decision I could have made. Want to know some perks of hiring a teacher-turned-florist?1. Attention to detail: Teachers are trained to pay attention to details, which translates perfectly to crafting beautiful, intricate floral arrangements.2. Ready for anything: Teachers are known for thinking on their feet and finding creative solutions to problems. Those are skills I didn’t leave behind in the classroom. Wedding days can have some on the spot changes but the ex*****on will be top notch. We got you! 💪🏼

When booking your fall wedding, here are some tips to consider:

Pick one “autumn colour” and see which other colour pair well with it. Fall colors not your thing? Then don’t do them, just because you get married in the fall doesn’t mean you have to. This is your day!

Weather contingency: If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, have a backup plan in case of inclement weather.
