Good Morning Riders. I have been a slacker when it comes to posting trail conditions. My apologies.

The Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club has been grooming the 110 Connector from Brownville Jct to the Greenville turn & our BPond trail to Jo Mary from KI.

We are no longer grooming the following trails: Ballpark, Lakeview or the 111S out of Wildwoods trails due to no adequate snow coverage.

Park & Ride parking can be done on Railroad Ave in Brownville Jct.

Ride Safe folks -it is Spring riding conditions out there.

Thank you,

Good morning riders,

The Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club groomed the 110 Connector to the Greenville Turn last night. The 111 N out of Wildwoods & the Lakeview Trail was done. We will not be grooming the Ballpark Trail & the 111S thru the Beaver Bog until we get more snow.

Caution Riders; on the 110 Connector about 1 1/2 miles from the KI Gate house heading towards Greenville there is a Dodge Caravan stuck in the trail. Use caution, the Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club will be towing it out around 11:30 tomorrow morning. Please Share. Thank you.

The Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club groomed the 110 Connector last night. Great run & with this cold she should set right up! Enjoy your ride!

Bpond & 111N from Wildwoods scheduled for today.

We are struggling as we have 2 groomers down & are limping thru until we can try & develop a plan to get them back up & running. One repair is catastrophic and over $10,000.

Although we exercise due diligence with machine maintenance and budget accordingly just in case….

Ever increasing insurance & diesel fuel costs that a breakdown of this caliber is devastating.

Riders be sure to join the club where you ride. Clubs work hard with few volunteers to lay that carpet for your riding pleasure. Trail fairies don’t really exist. I for one wish they did!!

Thank you to the club’s operators as we are ‘tag teaming it’. Saturday nights we now have operators doing the Bpond run, another team of operators will meet them in KI to groom the 110 to Greenville turn. A great example of teamwork, communication & commitment. You guys rock!

Ride Right, Ride Safe & Ride Sober!

Trail Report

Hi Riders! The Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club has had a very busy day. We were able to get Tucker 2 & Tucker 3 back over on the 110 Connector.

We were able to reopen the Ballpark Trail. Please use caution on the redirect as there is a water spot which is marked & we need a bit more snow coverage.

We also opened up the Lakeview trail to the 110 thru Williamsburg. The machine is currently out doing the BPOND Trail. The 110 to the Greenville turn & the 111 North out of Wildwoods will be done this evening.

Thank you to; Tasha Bryan Zickefoose Scott Strout John Zelkan Randy Turner Ed Mallowes Jason Bowie Kevin Hunter ‘Blueberry Joe’ Joe Piccerillo & crew and Mike Carroll. I apologize if I missed anyone!

It was a long cold day for all if these guys!! Thank you for dedication & your volunteer hours.

Safe riding & remember folks the lakes may look enticing but they are not yet safe….even in this cold.

We have a few riders meeting at the Ballpark 8ish to clear trail. If anyone else is available to help for a couple of hours, meet at Wildwoods at 9am & ride out in front of our groomers to help with blowdowns.

Once we reach the Jct of the Lakeview & the Ballpark; 1 groomer will continue on the Ballpark trail & 1 will continue on the Lakeview Trail thru the 110 connector to the railbed.

Thank you!

ATTENTION RIDERS!!!

This post is a VERY BIG DEAL!!

The Merther Road out of KI is closed due to logging. The BPOND trail out of KI is a major corridor.

The landowner has requested NO OFF ROAD TRAIL RIDING on their property!! I just received these signs today & they will be installed by the end of next week.

If the landowner or his staff who will be ‘checking’ this trail sees ANY sled tracks going off of the legal marked trail …. It wil be closed down permanently!!!

Once these signs are posted on the twitch trails, the Warden Service has been advised to issue citations. They are doing their jobs!!

Please folks, I simply cannot emphasize enough. Trail Access is a PRIVILEGE not a right. It doesn’t matter if you rode the trail 20 years ago with your parents, grandparents or with your children…..

Without landowners we would not have trails. It is that simple folks. This is a Big F’in Deal…..Not kidding. I apologize for being abrasive but I am sincerely concerned.

Losing the BPOND trail from KI TO JOMARY is significant. Please share this post. Thank you!!

Good Morning Riders! With today’s snowy forecast many of you will be planning a first ride of the season this weekend. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

However, help the club who’s trail you ride! We have some great small clubs in our region; Brownville,Maine Snowmobile Club, Bowerbank Snowmobile Club, Ebeemee Snowmobile Club, Jo Mary Riders, LA Sledders, Devils Sledders Snowmobile Club to name a few…

Even with enough snow to not break anything on the equipment, clubs are not going to be able to get out & groom. We are all struggling to get our collective trail systems cleared with hundreds of blowdowns.

So in addition to loading your sleds up & heading ‘North’ … load up your chainsaw or loppers. Help us help you have a safe fun start to your riding season. Working together we can do this!

Thank you for anytime you can give us!

Good Morning ATV riders!

Just a reminder the K.I. Riders ATV Club Trails ARE NOT OPEN!! I just received a call from a group of ATV riders on the trail asking if I forgot to take down the sawhorses & signs stating trail closed. No, we did NOT forget-the state ATV Program has asked us to have regard for the landowners & not open trails until Memorial Day Weekend.

Our trails include the rail bed on the back side if Schoodic Lake, the railbed leaving Brownville Jct, The Rips road in Brownville to Sebec & Milo, the Ballpark Trail into Brownville Jct. The Wildwoods trail both North & South out of Wildwoods & the trail from Wildwoods to Milo via the Ramsdell Ride & Pleasant River Roads.

Trust me -I’m not happy with it either but….it may be dry with no mud holes next to where you live but we do have some wet areas on our trail system. Have respect for these landowners who generously allow you to cross their property.

Our area clubs work hard obtaining this permission for our riding pleasure. Please help us keep our trails!! Stay Off until next weekend.

I did talk to the state yesterday asking why our neighboring ATV clubs opened. Their entire systems are NOT completely open as they also have landowners who have asked them to hold off. There is the potential with these large landowners that if riders do NOT stay off they this w/e they will close it down permanently.

If you see a sign that says trail closed, it means THE TRAIL IS CLOSED.

Please share & stay off marked trail.

Thank you,
Trailmaster Cheri
