Our outside crew has been hard at work to get us ready for this season's opening weekend. With snowmaking on hold, the crew has been pushing mounds of snow to cover the grounds.

Worried about your skill level? Most of the lessons we teach are Beginner Lessons and many of our Instructors ski or ride at an intermediate level.

A big thank you to everyone who came out for Leaf it to Rusk this weekend to take in the fall colors and ended up waiting in line and fighting the crowds (as well as the bugs). We appreciate your patience!
We definitely got our fair share of rain this week so, needless to say, the ground is wet and there is some mud BUT we will have the chairs dry and ready to roll as planned today. That being said wear appropriate footwear. Also, keep in mind the small chance of rain/storms this afternoon and know that if thunderstorms pop up we will need to empty the lift and shut down. The view is still amazing even with soggy feet!!
It's no secret we're a fan of the snow, BUT this time of year is nothing short of amazing! We want to know who's had the opportunity to take in all the beautiful fall colors by staying at Northern Boundaries Cabin.

If you have been watching our Mountain Art Initiative posts you will see that Bruce actually sponsored two towers - I think I already mentioned that he and his family are Christie Mountain enthusiasts! Bruce and his daughters picked the work of local photographer (and Christie Mountain ticket seller) Susanne von Schroeder for this tower. Susanne captured the grandness of the Milky Way right here in Rusk County in this submission. She recently came to Christie to claim her $500 prize money and brought her very well behaved puppy, Shanti, along. T-bar Tower #5 might live very close to Tower #4 but it is going to stand out in a spectacular way like only the night sky's of northern Wisconsin can. Congrats to artist and sponsor!

Owner Karen Hanson and her mother attended our sponsor event and picked the art of Bruce native Sammy Wienen who recently received her $500 check via mail as she no longer resides in the area. Sammy's piece is a fun rendition of the Blue Hills Beast with some great pops of color. Spring Green, out of Cameron WI, sponsored t-bar Tower #7 and chose a piece done by recent Cameron High graduate Dan Eichman. Spring Green owner Bruce Mohns and his family are avid skiers & Christie enthusiasts and they picked a piece that is all Blue Hills Beast. Dan plans to attend Western Technical College for Fire Protection Training in order to become a firefighter & we're sure that $500 prize will come in handy as he starts that journey. On to t-bar Tower #3 which is sponsored by Bruce Telephone Company. Owner, John Manosky, was brave enough to let his son choose the artwork they would sponsor. This proved to be a wise decision on his part, because the little guy definitely has an eye for talent. He picked a colorful, geometric pattern done in Crayola marker by fellow snowboarder Jeff Williams. Jeff lives in Hayward and was nice enough to bring along the original piece for John and his sidekick when they met to present the prize money.
